Guest chapter 28 . 7/18 Liked the chapter, very nice filler stuff and it wasn’t a slog to read through like other fics who rehash stuff. Concerning your AN at the end of the chapter: I feel you’re not putting stuff into proper perspective. The fastest man alive can run up to 24-25 miles an hour, I could be wrong since im just remembering off the top of my head, but the point is a 15yr old kid running at 50 miles an hour is insane already. And I think a lot of MHA fans forget that MHA doesn’t have a lot of “game breaking” powers/quirks. The manga is very clear that quirks have a physical and biological factor, unlike say speedsters like the Flash who are connected to an eldritch source of power that gives them speed and other physics defying abilities, like ignoring friction and inertia. Also Iida does complain in the manga that he couldn’t get into a higher gear and go faster since the track was only 50 meters. Meaning he could have gone faster. For the thing about Asui being slower than Bakugo I’d have to assume this I feel it makes sense; Asui didn’t use her frog quirk correctly for the 50m dash. It’s one thing to have strong frog like legs but it’s another thing to use those legs in the most effective way, it’s already shown hat Asui can jump dozens of meters off the ground BUT that doesn’t mean her running speed is as impressive since you use different muscles differently when comparing running and jogging. Add in the fact Asui has mutant frog like feet, I assume it’s hard for her to do a regular sprint. So she probably didn’t think to hop her way and just tried running which explains why Bakugo’s sprint (without using his quirk) was faster than hers. Also Bakugo, as you’ve even written down, is the most physically fit out of everyone in 1-A so it does make sense. |
Condescenion chapter 28 . 7/19 I get it, I also swear a lot. Either talking or writing. It's kinda hard to write others POV when I have to limit swearing. |
D3lph0xL0v3r chapter 28 . 7/18 KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK! YES! MINETA GOES BYE-BYE! |
beingwithu chapter 28 . 7/18 Man got Death Grip lmao Anyway, good chapter |
OmniGawker chapter 28 . 7/18 And then he never updated again until the heat death of the universe... |
VladImpaler chapter 28 . 7/18 I wonder why you didn't add the ball throw. |
ProjectIceman chapter 28 . 7/17 So I read your author note, and I got a few reasons for why things were the way they were. First Iida's speed. His Quirk makes him fast, but he would need more distance than what was given to him to reach max speed. You could say he is more akin to a muscle car than one with a quick take-off (slow take off but strong finisher). As for Tsuyu and Bakugo matching speeds. True, Tsuyu having stronger legs would make you think she would be much faster. That is until you realize that most of her motions are up and down - or hopping - while Katsuki is like strapping a Nitrox behind him. As for the entire test result, I always felt like the final score was something along the lines of getting a certain amount of points based on your placing in each test, then getting the average, and placing the students from highest score to lowest. Otherwise, Uraraka definitely would've scored better with an infinity lol. |
SentinalSlice chapter 28 . 7/17 Tenya needs time to get faster, like a car shifting gears, he could do better in a 100 meter or upwards dash. |
superpierce chapter 28 . 7/17 great chapter. Also your dreaming if you think playing persona 5 won't affect your update schedule. |
Yamajiji chapter 28 . 7/17 Nice chapter. I think Izuku’s ranking at #5 is pretty nice. Pls keep up the good work because I really like this story. |
Darth-Vulturnus chapter 28 . 7/17 Good chapter. Nothing too out there, but a good moving forward transition. I don't agree with expelling Mineta, because I've always seen just axing disliked characters from the narrative as a 'too lazy to want to bother with actual character development,' regardless of fandom or which character it is, but eh, it's not so glaring as to crush my interest. Going off memory here, but here's what I remember regarding something you mentioned in your AN: Tenya has a literal vehicle engine in his legs. I can't recall if it was anime/manga or both, but he laments that because the distance was so short, he can't get past 2nd or 3rd gear, limiting his overall speed. He needs a certain distance to get going, and at least at that point in canon, 50m is too short to reach his maximum speeds. For Tsuyu...notice how she walks. Hunched over. She's a frog. They aren't exactly fast walking creatures and while they can jump quite far usually, there is some...let's call it 'lag time' between jumps. Remember that the girl can jump up multiple stories of a building in a single bound. That she has above-average human run speed on top of that is impressive. As for Koda...yeah, I don't know either. Aizawa's test I guess makes sense if he's in really good shape, but the entrance test? Nah. His quirk would be useless. |
Jthomajba chapter 27 . 7/17 nah no point to expelled anyone |
Joey Joestar chapter 27 . 7/15 This is definitely interesting, but with all things JOJO, Araki forgets... 1) Can Stands shrink or phase through things like in Stardust Crusaders? 2) Will the Bow and Arrow have any relevance? 3) Will Stands, Quirks and Hamon/Spin be separate entities or will someone whose capable of all 3 appear? 4) Doesn't starting off with King Crimson seem a "bit" extreme? 5) Wouldn't it be cooler if someone started off with Echoes? -No one EVER explores the other abilities it could potentially have like ACT 3 THREE CHEESE! -Then it could illustrate all 'Stand Evolutionary Points' like the ACTS, Evolution like Bites the Dust or SP:The World and then finally Requiem (Bow and Arrow Relevance Same Origin as Quirks)? 6) Maybe its a to actually say stands and quirks are separate things and hamon/spin was actually the first quirk but it wasn't public like the light baby? 7) Maybe ACT stands slowly gain the abilities of general stands other time like shrinking and phasing but those are still specific to the user personality like how SuperFLY is bound and Remote Stands don't damage the user... -Basically the characteristics of that Stand Type is gained through ACTS? 8) I just really like how Quirks continue to change and evolve and then maybe stands are extremely reflective of that person's understanding of their quirks natural weakness and strengths which always is out of their control. Naturally this would explain why a Non-Quirk User could have a naturally powerful stand because their personality is NOT consumed with understanding their quirk if a quirk user could even develop one in the first place naturally like Avdol or by B/A. 9) Will Quirk Singularity, Awakening and Mutations still have any relevance in this story even after considering all these other items? endme chapter 27 . 7/15 Keep Mineta, will be less of a headache to deal with the problems from his absence, and keeping him isn't really harmful to this story. |
Guest chapter 27 . 7/13 In canon, Aiwaza never permanently expelled anyone, he reinstated them the next day, all in the name of a lesson. A fake out with Mineta is much better, as it both ties in with his character, and gives you a reason to tone fown Mineta's perviness. From what i've seen very little other fics have adopted this tidbit of information, so it would also get the 'originality' of being one of the first. |
