I imagine Shouto's overprotectiveness comes in part from what happened to his mother, I think it would be something deeply important to him. Thats my headcanon anyway.

Ok so halfway through this I took a break and I thought about what Momo could protect shouto from and the first thing to come to mind was endeavour and then I imagined Momo making a fire extinguisher with her quirk and blasting him so that anywhere he has fire he instead had fire extinguisher foam. Please write this idea.

Cute. Young Todoroki may have been protective, but rarely overly so (alright, maybe he didn't need to interrupted Yaoyorozu's sparing, but that was only because he was mistakenly under the impression that she was under attack). He may have come close to using excessive force against Mineta, but Iida and Midoriya were there to stop him. And during the duel so long as his opponent ended up with no more serious injuries than many be a little frostbite a show of force was perfectly justifiable in order to eliminate any doubts.

I thought that the side characters were fine. In fact the most awkward character in the entire story may have been Endeavor (who presumably came as "Endeavor", rather than "Enji Todoroki" in ordert to establish his own presence as someone not to be trifled with). Apparently despite Enji's best efforts at improvement it seems that rudeness remains his default mannerism. Fortunately Shoto has apparently learned to read his father's behavior well enough to translate his snort into terms which Momo could more readily comprehend (apologies to all of the characters for being so informal but with all the Todorokis, Yaoyorozus and Hisakawas running around it was too hard to track of them all just by family name).
