u-haulian chapter 31 . 3/27 yeesh i’ve commented now 3 times. well, thank you for the story, again XD. it’s saddening to see you go. i am a pretty late reader, but i’ll never forget this story. and it’s actually given me a lot to think about. hopefully i’ll see you around, but i doubt that. just remember, you shall not be forgotten (sorry for absolutely demolishing the 169 comments) |
u-haulian chapter 24 . 3/27 thank you for the story (tho i’m not done with it yet)! feel better, and ik i’m late, but... thank you, nonetheless |
u-haulian chapter 13 . 3/27 loving the story! and don’t worry, it’s definitely a good thing to feel as though your characters are writing their own story. believe me, as a writer, that’s how i feel a lot of time. most of the time haha. when i explain it to my parents or friends, they look at me really weirdly. glad i’m not the only one |
Zoro50 chapter 31 . 2/25 Thank you for writing this story. It was a lot of fun to read. I hope you find what you are looking for out there! |
GrnDrgnzrd chapter 31 . 2/23 When you write a story for others to see, you open your soul a little. You give a glimpse into who you are inside. Even when dealing with technical aspects. In a way sharing a piece of yourself with us. That's why it hurts to see you go. I'll miss your gift you share and I do hope you can return. There is a wish, a desire to protect the heart. So much like my daughter's. See you next time. |
Ms Kanzaki chapter 31 . 2/23 I'd love to thank you, first of all, for this fascinating BtS regarding your technique and story evolution. These observations and recommendations will most definitely be helpful, whether one intends to write a story, or is reading one, attempting to decipher, look beyond what the screen delivers. Second, I am deeply moved with how much dedication and care you have put into your craft to deliver something not just worth your while but also worth our enjoyment. It is refreshing to witness this thoroughly written self critique; I mean, while most authors when doing this end up going on a long self defense/justification drabble, you weren't afraid to put yourself and your creation under a microscope. I can applaud, admire that, in fact. Third, I must confess that while I haven't played the video game, I didn't struggle to follow, empathize, understand and love your fanfic. Perhaps it might be due that once upon a time I was also a fanfic author myself, and I have no problem switching from a reader to author perspective when faced with a written work. Lastly, I wish you the best of luck on whatever you are going to attempt to embark on. Take your time, enjoy your life, savor the experiences to come; they will eventually become the fuel for the bonfire of your talent. Be well. _ |
darkvampirekisses chapter 31 . 2/22 *sends hugs and a lifetime supply of digitalized cookies* Well, I'm gonna miss you, that's for sure. I hope things in life go well for you, and that wherever your path from here takes you, that you will be happy. You deserve happiness. Don't let anyone, not even those nasty little voices of doubt that invariably end up showing up no matter how hard we all try to dodge them, tell you otherwise. You're an incredible person, and anyone who doesn't see that needs a swift kick XD |
jonj1762 chapter 31 . 2/22 I have to say that I am very heart shaken to hear that you are leaving (for whatever reason). I have enjoyed your stories from the time that I found you on this and AO3. I will miss seeing a new Clem story every now and again. And as for someone else saying some things that may hurt about writing fan fiction and how well it is written or anything this is what I have to say,"Get the F$ OVER YOURSELF." I have come to this site and others not to find fiction that is written to the standard of a New Yoek Times best seller or even a Pulitzer Prize winner, I come here to read what fans of the same characters I am a fan of have written from their own imaginations and to lose myself, to get away from my everyday life and problems (and if the story is written to the same standards as above that's a ). Just know that there are those out here who have gotten enjoyment and encouragement to try writing our own stories like me I am probably one the oldest on this site and love the same characters and love to think of things that they might be involved in and my experiences also give ideas as well (I am 53 and have PTSD from combat in Iraq). YOU and a few others have commented back to me and so I have taken the plunge and have taken to writing outside of the fan fiction universe as well and it seems to help me. So I must say thank you for what you have written and for the advise that is at the end of your stories as well as they are a help. YOU WILL BE MISSED! |
Guest chapter 31 . 2/22 Going to miss you |
GuardianArtemis chapter 31 . 2/22 I’m sad your leaving, but I’m understanding of why and I hope you the absolute best for whatever you do or wherever you go. |
khffbleach9 chapter 31 . 2/22 I liked the after the story behind the scenes. |
ForeverSummerSnows chapter 31 . 2/21 Hello dearie. Your writing tips were very good. I'm guilty of a lot of sins here, but I'm growing as a writer and I'm definitely better than I was in 2014 (you be the judge of that though - yes this is shameless propaganda for my work sue me XP). Seriously though, I'm fond of editing my chapters frequently and I feel armed with the right tools to do so effectively now. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I sadly have no idea how to reply to you directly but thank God for the safety of cyberspace. You're right about a lot of stuff here. People not really caring about you leaving, being replaceable and what not. Writers leave all the time. We miss them and move on. But you sharing as you've done has done something for us. You've made yourself a real person. With struggles and insecurities and a need to grow; and you've been kind enough to tell us that you'll be gone and shouldn't hold out waiting. People are stupid, they will be stupid and direct it that stupidity to you. But ignore them. Readers like me will have to make peace with your absence and move on, yes, but we know you're struggling. Many of us here struggle from the same thing; some of us grow, others are late bloomers and need more time - but the struggle is the same, and you are not alone. FFN is an escape from a life we do not enjoy, but someday we have to face it. Clementine, I wish you the very best as you face yours, and hope for nothing but your overcoming and finding fulfillment. Safety. Happiness. It is all anyone of us has ever wanted. *hugs* |
WhiteRosePlanter chapter 31 . 2/21 One last time, you draw out the tears. I’ve been caught in your web of storytelling so long, I don’t know where to go for the unique style of wordplay you’ve brought us. One day, if you see them, I’d like you to tell me if my works are any good. They won’t be anywhere near yours, but I can hope for a bit of talent to have rubbed off on me, right? I won’t say anything more. Best of luck in life. I hope, in another life, I’ll get to meet you at least once. I feel like we could be friends, or at the very least bitter rivals with barely suppressed respect. Farewell, until we meet, even if it is at the place where no shadows fall. |
Dragon and Sword Master chapter 30 . 2/21 Well I have to admit...this was a good way to end the story. Well done...though I am sad to see it go... |
Ms Kanzaki chapter 30 . 2/20 Thank you for the story! And this last chapter has the perfect length to give it a good send off- just short and sweet. Keep writing! |
