all i can really say is that your writing is really, really awkward. the dialogue especially.
i'm gonna go out on a limb and say english isn't your first language.
in which case, i can only really recommend you read a lot of english books, that's the only way you'll really get better. don't read fanfiction, and don't read self-published books. read actual professionally edited books. can be any subject, just read a lot. that's really the only way you'll get rid of the horrendous awkwardness of your writing.

still, if i disregard the writing, the story seems somewhat interesting, even if so far nothing has happened.

shouldn't Shriou have the full power of Carnwennan since one of his unique abilities is to gain all the info of a sword from sight alone and a dagger is just I tiny sword. He only needs to do more with polearms, axes, and armor

Actually, I really like learning about the mechanics of different magic systems so I had no problems with an exposition chapter such as this. I think that, grammatical errors aside, it was a very well done chapter.

With regards to your grammar however, might I suggest being more aware of what 'tense' you are writing in. For example, quite a bit of your fic is written in a mixture between the 'present tense' and the 'past tense'. Normally when writing a story it's more common to write using the past tense rather than the present, i.e. 'he said' rather than 'he says', because it happens to flow a bit better than the present tense for story telling purposes.
