Kitsune Obsessed Freak chapter 6 . 9/10 dude. don't write the lyrics, just name the song and where to find it. this story is pretty weird so far. Like the same level of weird as this next set of emoji |
Zx chapter 15 . 9/5 Nice |
Lukkai chapter 15 . 9/4 It does the job alright, I'll say. Joshua had this coming for a while. Not sure if it's the last we see of him though. Guys like him sometimes take to the first stern warning (and a broken jaw would certainly fit that bill, more so than a dressing down by his father likely ever could). But others are not quite as quick on the catch up and need a lesson or two more. Or might even be completely incapable of learning. Now I realise that some might be wondering how Gen Layton could be thanking someone for doing this to his son. Those that do should try and think about where Joshua was likely headed with his behaviour if nothing to warn him off and correct it would have happened. It's not a pretty place. Now this broken jaw is not guaranteed to set him straight. But at least now his parents know and can try to get him away from his path. |
Rose1948 chapter 15 . 9/4 Yeah, time sure as the dickens can get away from a person from time to time. *chuckles* In this Old Bat's opinion, Joshua got what he deserved. I like how this is "flowing" so far, Narsil. Truly. It holds my attention and even makes me think from time to time. I like that in a story. Take care, stay safe, and thanks for sharing. |
DianaBialaska chapter 15 . 9/4 Just found this story and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a nice story. Looking forward to more. |
Death of Snipers chapter 15 . 9/4 Keep in mind, we hear in that fight from mousse a line that basically says “a 3 ton boulder to the face isn’t even worth mentioning for us” (in specific, he considers the fact that such a thing even stunned saffron means that said pheonix god is a wimp, physically speaking) and the Bakusai tenketsu could be compared to a gray grenade (stone shrapnel propelled at high velocity) and Ryouga tanks those all the tome, as do many others. Not saying martial artists are invincible, but that it’s not infeasible that some are literally bulletproof when you’re not talking about armor piercing rounds, and could probably yank some bombs. (For the record, purely saying this for fun. You’re free to balance the world however you see fit, I just like feat comparisons) Onto this chapter itself: It was nice seeing Toshiko get to wreak some vengeance, and seeing her react to people who aren’t Nerima crazy. Seeing her settle in is nice, and I hope that she continues to adjust, while also getting a chance to train soon |
Rose1948 chapter 14 . 8/20 Wow . . . So there's more than a handful of groups looking into this and that in Nerima. Yoiks! The plot grows. I'm liking how things are going. Be nice if certain characters would get what's coming to them; painfully, publicly, and permanently. There are a few Ranma Cs from the manga that I don't give a Tinker's Dam for. *nods* And yes, I can be a vicious Old Bat at times. Again, thank you for the story. |
Rose1948 chapter 13 . 8/20 Nice chapter! Interesting bit of what kinda sorta goes on under the underneaths. *chuckles* Just enough info to be interesting and leaving a thirst to know more of what might be going on that shouldn't be talked about much less THOUGHT about. By the reader, I mean. *laughs* Nice to see that Ku Lon and Shan Pu got to return home with their honor more or less intact. And, of course, yet ANOTHER governmental Sneaky Pete Group is sticking its nose in where it isn't wanted. |
Rose1948 chapter 12 . 8/20 Darn glad I'm reading this in the late afternoon with lots of sunlight. *shivershudders* Not something I'd want to read just before bed. Good chapter, m'dear. Darn good chapter. Not your fault this Old Bat gets the shivershakes from time to time according to what she's reading. Glad that THIS particular group of critters is gone. |
Rose1948 chapter 11 . 8/20 Interesting Toshiko/Win/Davidson discussion. Also interesting mother/daughter/friend discussion. I had to giggle about the manga/anime discussion, too. All in all, I enjoyed the chapter. |
Rose1948 chapter 10 . 8/19 Nice chapter, m'dear. I enjoyed it. All of it. *grins* I might be a 71-year-old Old Bat but I remember sharing classrooms with attitudes like Joshua's. Sheesh. Glad I could find other places to be while they crawled and strutted around and all. *chuckles* Quite the "baby steps" indeed! Tasteful, too! *nods* NSFW and all, yet still tasteful. At least IMHO. |
Lukkai chapter 14 . 8/18 I guess we'll see in the next chapter as to why the next scene works better as part of that. So the locals in Nerima have noticed the increasing attention to them and are reacting to it. So far quite inconspicuous as to not reveal their hand early. Should there ever be an open confrontation of the Americans and the people around/behind Schwei on Neriman ground, the chaos possibly resulting might actually be legendary. And if there's one thing Ryoga definitely has proven in the past to not be very good at, it's keeping his mouth shut when he should. Let's see if manages to do so here. One thing I wonder here, by the way, is the exact nature of Tony's and Shaniyah's investigation. Are they further checking Toshiko's background. Generally trying to learn more about martial artists and their use of ki, maybe even thinking about recruiting. Looking into Schwei and his agents in the area. Or of course D) All of the above. As far as Bejing and the Tribes goes... Well the latter do have the advantage (and it is one in this case) of not sitting atop of precious ores or the like. And Jusenkyo, as useful as it may come occasionally, is better handled by the locals. That way they'll have to carry the not so small risks involved and the government can just swoop in or a short mission whenever they need something. Or call them up for service. Judging from what I've heard so far, the Tribes could be useful in a number of ways. Not the least being techniques like the brainwashing shampoo and massage or supplying capable assassins with perfect deniability for Beijing (and doesn't the Kiss of Death law suddenly look very useful if handled correctly). The possibilities at this point are vast. |
Death of Snipers chapter 14 . 8/18 The idea of Nerima prepping for war is an interesting one. Imagine a force made of unconventional super soldiers like the Nerima brigade Also, in regards to martial artists Vs bombs, I agree to a point. Given the firepower saffron was throwing around, he might be comparable to a decent sized bomb. That said ranma was only barely able to fight him with a magic weapon. Still, one could argue anti-bomb techniques could be made, but as you point out, the martial artists are training for other martial artists, not bombs. (Though by that same token, I doubt any Government is prepared to stop an Amazon elder that really wants to assasinate their leaders) |
JraittM chapter 13 . 8/16 I am not sure if I have ever reviewed this story before but it is high time that I do because I enjoy this story quite a lot. Something that I think would be super cool would be if Toshiko expressed an interest in flying a fighter jet. I would enjoy reading about Bake showing Toshiko what he does. Thanks for another great chapter, and I eagerly wait for the next. |
Lukkai chapter 13 . 8/10 Could it be that we finally get to know a bit more about our good Mr. Schwei? And maybe about how far plans have proceeded concerning securing Akane as a replacement. Or how good the Chinese agents are in weaseling out secrets of the Japanese, especially considering our favoured redhead. Pretty sure that's what the missive from Beijing is about, one way or another. The village has not just a wealth of capable fighters, but prior involvement with the persons of interest in Japan as well, after all. Of course it might also be a call to arms for them to follow 'or else'. If Akane could be used as either an active agent or a breeder, the same can be said about Shampoo. Of course, that is basically what the tribe has been doing for centuries. Or, since they had dealings with Ranma and the Tendos before, they might be forced to go after them now. Several possibilities here. Overall speaking, most likely not a very beneficial situation for the Joketsuzoku. |
