Honestly one of the best fanfics I’ve read since I’ve joined...and trust me, those were the days where fanfiction has just started. Like more than a decade ago...

Loved how your original ending’s last flashback circles around back to where the beginning of this story’s flashback happens. Just so well written.

This story really is entirely your own and so original with how maybe the show inspired you, but your interpretation of even the actors expressions made you write such beautiful words is just incredible.

Sobbing through this fanfic was just inevitable and I really thank you! Because even though it is just a show, it still invokes so much emotion and you helped me let some of it go because I did feel like their story didn’t have the closure it needed.

The time and effort it took for you to write this isn’t unnoticed and I hope you write more in the future, thanks for bringing back good writing to this site.

I like how you ended with both of them thinking they would get together "it was a matter of time" . At first I thought it odd that Brienne's present tense scene was before Jaime's and not after, but I realize now I like the symbolism of Jaime getting the last word...implying that he's not really gone.
I actually tried the other day to put the flashbacks in chronological order! Thanks for doing it for us!

I hate to admit it but I kind of see Jaime's point here. It's the strangling of his cousin that gets to me. Pushing Bran was a split-second decision that can't be taken back. He would have had to have been choking for about five minutes, I think. He definitely could have stopped. So it really was murder. It is possible, but difficult, to believe that Brienne, given her views of justice and honor, could overlook this. I can kind of see why Jaime was frightened for her, that perhaps her loneliness her love had led her to change so significantly.

I like Tyrion's statement to Brienne-that Jaime didn't like the part of himself that was tied to Cersei.
