Heh, nice one shot. Good to see a LeadVonE!Harry NOT making unforced errors due to his long-standing grudges against his family. (I got the impression John was going for more girls than Susan... maybe harem-building is a Potter trait and James is just the freak monogamist. Or it’s an Evans trait and Lily and Petunia didn’t display it because they were female... on the other hand, Lily had two boys after her on the first day of school, so maybe she just didn’t choose to cultivate the talent... :) )

I liked especially that Harry pointed out prophecies could be easily manufactured. Wizards and witches are far too trusting.

Mildly odd that the Potters aren’t more unnerved by a man in his late twenties forming a schoolgirl harem, but I suppose it looks less odd in a world with loads of arranged marriages; age disparities and potential spouses knowing each other in one’s childhood and the other’s adulthood must be common.

Pity this isn’t a longer AU divergence (though, for a one shot, you did cut it off at exactly the right time). John’s identity crisis and the Potters’ anger at being duped would be interesting to see.
