So close to Luigi's Mansion 3!

HALLOWEEN RELEASE! WHOO!

After hearing that your day didn't go as well as you hoped, I decided to fix that by taking a look at this second Luigi's Mansion 3 one-shot, and I must admit... this was freakin' awesome! As someone who really liked No Turning Back, this one was a million times better!

First off, I love the callback to the Polterpup being named Colombo. It is a nice throwback to your first story, Hidden Bravery.

Secondly, Luigi's P.O.V. It adds to the spooky theme of the story and makes the scenes all the more intense and it grabs the audience's attention. Everything being told through Luigi's perspective adds to the emotion and horror that he's going through.

I got excited when I saw this story come up in my Gmail. When I saw the direct, I was like "Oh, shit! TGN's gonna make another one-shot!" and behold, I was right. This was truly a great story and I cannot wait to see what you do next. Maybe you'll do a full-on rewrite of the game, who knows? Lookin' foward to more, TGN!

I'm voting Polterpup for best doggo. I swear, that opening cutscene was so awesome and adorable at the same time. Luigi keeping Polterpup as a pet was really nice after the events of Dark Moon. But do you know one thing I noticed? What happened to his pupils? When he returned to normal with the other ghosts, he was shown to have eyes. But in the Luigi's Mansion 3 trailer, he looks like his usual self without the eyeballs before the moon was repaired. I don't know if that's important to note or not...

Either way, I loved this story! Adding those details from the cutscene and the trailer was brilliant and well written. I even went back to rewatch the trailer and you made some compelling points! It just makes me more excited about the game. I did get a chance to read Hidden Bravery and No Turning Back long ago and this was another cool story with Luigi here. Awesome job!

The trailer and opening cutscenes were a great way to show off Luigi's Mansion three, and this is a great expansion on the trailer and opening cutscene, which had me hooked right from the start.

I love the reference you made to Mario and Luigi Dream Team with Luigi falling asleep on command. How you described Luigi's nightmares were eerie, I had chills running down my spine throughout the whole sequence.

This is a fantastic one-shot! I'm hyped for Luigi's Mansion 3, it looks amazing. Great job with this one-shot!

Not gonna lie, I find this more fascinating than No Turning Back. Again, you made references to the first 2 Luigi's Mansion games, but this adds a lot more with the trailer and the opening cutscene.

It looked like a movie was playing in front of me. Nintendo and Next Level Games are going all out with the aesthetics, animations, and expressions in this game. It looks so cool!

This oneshot was also wonderful to read as I felt the suspense and tension when I put myself in Luigi's shoes. Your perception of him is even better here. Fantastic job with this one!

Bless GameXplain for not skipping the cutscene; I loved it, and I want more. It was done so great; it really felt very cinematic!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was reminded of Luigi being able to sleep on command in Dream Team, heh.

But poor Luigi and his nightmares! Recalling his other encounters with King Boo and dreaming up one yet to come, and then waking up to find the others gone...!

(Also loved that "Mamma mia, here we go again" line-was that an ABBA reference?)

Good catch on Luigi not having the Poltergust in that final trailer scene; definitely makes me feel vindicated that I wrote King Boo in my WoL fic as willing to kick Luigi when he's down. Interesting (and frightening) how he's come to this after his "I'll fight you like a true Boo!" speech from the first game.

LM 3 looks like it's going to be absolutely amazing, so here's hoping it inspires more fics for the both of us!

That was another great one-shot about Luigi's Mansion 3! A great expansion based upon the several scenes the trailer offered. Though obviously this might not be how the story goes on (especially during the chase part with King Boo, because I'm pretty sure Luigi would've had his Poltergust G-00 by that moment. In my personal opinion, this might be just a beta scene and could change at the final version.) so we'll have to wait to find out.
I'm also planning on actually making a remake of Luigi's Mansion 3 somewhere in the future, so you might look forward to that depending on how the story will be. Keep up the good work!
