At one of the flashbacks in the anime you can very clearly see that Sasuke unlocked his sharingan at the night of the murder of the Uchiha clan in front of Itachi. So he always had his Sharingan, he just didn't show it until the Land of Waves arc. Just a little clearer upper!

Great story, although honestly I wish that it had been fleshed out into a full multi-chapter fic, I liked it quite a bit. I've always thought of Kakashi as an incredibly strong/skilled Shinobi, and that his character was a bit stunted in the Anime.

yass! kakashi was genin at 5 chunin at 6 AND JONIN AT 12, fuck itachi. Everyone down plays the implication that kakashi is an actual badass. I mean I love reading fanfic where Kakashi doesnt know how to train genin since he has high expectations after training rookie anbu 24/7. LIKE they down play his skill, kakashi was in his prime and still improving he is an actual badass and honestly they down play that he was a child genius better than itachi. sure itachi was strong but as itachi was graduating at 6 as genin kakashi was chunin in war time possible doing high C-B rank missions that probably bumped up to A occasionally. And 100% fact as Minato's apprentice he did not hold minato back and went on high A ranks with him. maybe that's why he was so salty when rin and obito were added. he was used to higher ranked missions because he was the perfect little soldier and suddenly he had to do D and low C ranked because the talentless obito and Rin held him back (Because they had the good ninja part down and Hiruzen wanted Kakashi to be able to integrate in normal society and prob why he added them to Minatos care to interact with their perfect Shinobi) and minato did mention that the reason Kakashi found rin and obito lacking because he was used to to being surrounded by genius, Like minato, his dad and higher ranked ninja who were skilled and had already refined their shinobi skill unlike rookie ninja
