All I know of the Netflix series is what I've read about it, and the ways it relates to, builds on, has borrowed from the canon of various games (which is what I am familiar with).
I checked this out because Trevor is my favorite Castlevania character, and I love it so very much.
It's really unfair this has so few reviews, because it's great.
I also really like knowing that Trevor being hotheaded and reckless, is, apparently, a thing everywhere. :)

I had not read/heard of the heart murmur headcanon, but I gotta say I like it quite a lot. :) Favorite dialogue: "Know what? ... You can stop listening to my heartbeat." Actually, I really enjoyed all of the dialogue. Nice job!
