This was lovely - this made sense unlike the sl on the show. Love that Jackson acknowledged that April learns from her mistakes and that maybe he is lacking in that area. She learned from him that sometimes it is not worth it to fight to the end for something, whereas Jackson feels - rightly so - that he gave up too easily, didn’t fight enough. We all know April marrying Matthew on an impulse was nonsense - she would never have done that. Glad the marriage wasn’t legal and she could easily walk out. Jackson finally realising that Maggie ain’t it - that they don’t fit. That April is who he wanted all along and who he is meant to be with. Everything just feels natural with them - even though they haven’t spent time together for a long time. They have their own rhythm, connection - it’s just there. Plus the attraction will never fade. This is what Harriet and Japril deserves - a second chance at happiness. Thank you for writing this - cheered me up.

Thank you for writing this one-shot. It could seriously turned into a mini series. It was short but sweet and it made me miss Japril more than I already do. This storyline alone would be the only reason I would watch the show again. It’s the absolute only thing that makes the most sense. You can clearly tell that making them be with these other people was the biggest mistake of their lives. They deserved to be a happy family and raise Harriet together in one house. By reading this one-shot you could tell that the love and connection between them never faced. You can’t erase a history like theirs that easily. Sorry for ranting in this review lol but thank you again for writing this short fic, I needed something to make me smile again. Glad to see you back and writing!

Yes get Harriet away from Maggie! I so loved this story. Jackson finally realizing his true feelings, she was just someone to fill a void, someone safe for fear of being hurt, while April was gone, is so what I want to happen! And April leaving Matthew because she too realized that it was a huge mistake and just got caught up in the moment. Then they both finally stop messing around and just tell each other the truth without trying to second guess how the other person feels...that right there is the growth and maturity that they both should have benefited from their past mistakes. Thank you for writing this!

I could get behind this as a series. I really enjoyed this. The ending and the healing of the ending or the vibe of it was great.
