I really enjoyed this one-shot, but this was definitely my favourite part (and linked to one of my favourite moments of the film). That comparison drew me in, both through its insight to her character but also through the tragedy of both aspects of her character and the hints of the journey that lead to Nebula's acceptance of who she is as of the second "version" of herself. She was one of the most fascinating characters for me, and you've done a beautiful job at capturing the tragedy of her life but also the growth she showed. In the first description, I particularly loved the use of angry mixed with her isolation and this bit - "crushed by feelings of failure and inadequacy" and then "so desperate to erase her father's legacy" was the highlight of the second part for me.

[They realize in the same instant that this… this link between them will ruin everything. This will be her undoing.] - Ugh, this was excellent, and then the reference to being "undone" before. I liked the style you used for showing when they've started to rifle through her memories and this bit was great - "Nebula's love and yearning for him has curdled, gone sour".

[On the ship, a horrified Nebula denies her future, pleading for her life. On Morag, a helpless Nebula is getting reacquainted with despair.] - You did such a good job at showing how emotional those moments of disbelief from the younger Nebula were mixed in with how trapped and guilty the older Nebula felt. Really excellent one-shot!
