I can see the crew take a vacation via a cruise ship. That would be an experience for the mental models who are part of Iona's fleet. They get to relax in luxury, but see how life is on a non combat vessel. No idea if Queen Mary 2 is still around or Oasis of the Seas, as they're the largest ships in the world today. There's a famous pic comparing Titanic to Oasis and Titanic is small next to her. Oasis is nearly twice the size of Titanic.

This also can fit into experience as Takao gets drunk for the first time. :) It even shows on her ship turning as green as she is from getting sick and a hangover. In the manga she and others learn much about humans after the war ends, the plus is Iona's sisters don't die and learn as much as she does in this story. 402 even befriended the former admiral turned politician from episode 3. She kinda becomes his assistant.
