Beleive it or not, for a while there I completely forgot about this. My own writing and life took presidence over any and all fanfiction. But I finally found an oppurtunity to read your book again.

There's just one small problem... It's been so long since I've read this series that I do beleive I've forgotten most of it.:( Oh, well. Guess I'll just have to reread each book all over again. ;D Such a bother...

Actually, I love rereading SO much. And since I've run out of games to play right now, fanfiction is the best thing to fill in my time.

And here we have the abandoned nest of the dragons, home to green death. If you look to your left, you will see a giant freaking gaping hole in the MOUNTAIN VOLCANO where the Death decided to exit from. If you look to your right, you will see what remains of said Death.
Here is the moral: don't mess with a kid whose mind is sharper your own axe and rides the most freaking gorgeous and amazing dragon in existence.

Snotlout will make a good General some day. Astrid is already Hiccup's queen and that's just great. Not that they don't all have a ways to go...

Interesting, I see that you went with logic unlike the TV show. It would make sense that without the queens call the ships would not make it through the fog just like in the movie, so using Hiccup's call makes perfect sense. But what on earth is this duty that Hiccup had abandoned. Good planning I can't wait to see everyone's reaction to the dead queen.(I didn't use a capital Q for queen because she doesn't deserve to be truly acknowledged.
