I've been binge-reading Honor Bound, and now Star-Bound since Tuesday (I think)!

I can't believe this. We actually got not one, but TWO chapters at a time. Both are incredibly awesome.
I really liked how much of a threat you made the Swarmlord against Shephard and company. I also loved the nods towards both Avengers: Endgame and the Behemoth series. When she said, "round two, cockroach', I couldn't help but hear that in Marneus Calgar's TTS voice. In fact, after that, I heard all of Shephard's lines with his voice for the rest of the chapter after that lol.

Anyway, excellent work overall :)

Good chapter as always, but ive got to say i feel the space marine organisation is a bit off.
Space marines dont use platoons, which are normally aorund 40 or so strong irl, this is nearly half of a company's strength right there. They are organised by squads and kill teams at that level of marines.

Another thing is you mentioned is that there were 3000 marines surrounding the breach. Thats an insane number! 3000 marines can conquer several planets, maybe even a sub-sector, by themselves, never mind the rest of the forces. Remember how rare they are meant to be, 3000 marines should be the entire crusades complement or therabouts, which would have its strength spread over many many worlds. Something perhaps worth keeping in mind?

Hey, my boy Russ going to have to drop the Distilled Liver Juices of a Bloodthirster recreation of Fenrisian Ale. Now, I get that this is somewhat serious, but can we expect a few TTS references? Probably. It would be funny, especially is Kaldor Draigo is around.

Shouldn't Shepard have a hard time fighting Tyranids in general? They cast an impenetrable shadow in the warp. Shepard is essentially made up of the warp, being made of the Emperor's power doesn't make it any less susceptible to the shadow. Warp is warp

Just waiting for Sigmar to be chilling by the fire with Revelation to hand Shepard a copy of Ghal Maraz or give her her old axe back. It would be hilarious for even Revelation to not know how it happens but roll with it. Also seriously cut down on the heartache she goes through. I get it's 40k but come on give her some hardcore happy to make up for this.
