Ao3 went down for maintanence 15 minutes before I tried to check the nsfw scene... well shit.

I read the NSFW part over on AO3 and I found it nicely done, neither too salacious nor too clinical. This was a most interesting chapter and I suspect Harry will need the good memories of this birthday to keep control when Dumbledore arrives and demands he return to the Dursleys (never mind he has orders not to from Amelia Bones); I suspect it's going to be him claiming the Granger's home as is and totally denying that he considers 4 Privet Drive to be anything other than a prison, voiding any remaining wards, before Dumbledore will back off (give even odds as to whether or not Amelia Bones will need to be called).

1400 students ! I think NOT! Read the 1st book again, there were about 40 students sorted that year. Multiply that by 7 years and you have less than 300 students total. Before Grindelwald there might have been more but I think not 1400.

Great chapter. I was a bit sad that the lemony scene wasn’t there, but I can understand wanting to err on the side of caution. Guess I’ll go check out ao3. Quick question about that: how does one sign up for ao3? I’ve wanted to for a while now but am not sure how.
