Zenitsu’s ramblings at the end were the same thoughts that came to me when Tanjiro had those flashbacks about his father while fighting Rui. That fact alone was heartbreaking. Obviously, they didn’t deserve everything that happened to them

So Zenitsu's dream is the same here, too. I guess even though their interactions are different compared to canon Zenitsu and canon Nezuko, Zenitsu still has feelings of affection for her.

While the end of the last chapter built up tension like the end of episode 22 did, it kinda blew away when I read Tanjiro throwing stuff at Sanemi. That was totally unexpected and funny! XD But then I felt sad reading Nezuko's and Shinobu's conversation... :'(

It's really neat how you included Zenitsu into the Mount Natagumo arc like that. Gives the others the chance to see just how much potential our favorite golden chicken actually has. Kinda miss Murata's and Inosuke's argument in the original story, though, that was pretty funny. But you made it work, nice job!
