I really like him asking her over and over again to tell him she loves him. her stunt really made him insecure and rather than it just her being HIS. she made him feel like she didn't want him to be HERS.

I like Elizabeth getting upset at herself a bit and saying she doesn't deserve him...though maybe could have incorporated that thought a bit more. like she noticed by his words and read between the lines that part of him was stilling hurt. that that was why he ket asking her to repeate she loves him. or if she notices hints of insecurity or desperation despite HIM thinking he is okay. or maybe if lizabeth lost herself for a second and did enjoy that meliodas reacted. that he did get jealous and loved her enough to get upset and want to say she is his.

because in this eliabth got that reaction she wanted. and maybe if she remembered her thoughts in the last chapter where she talked about how upsetting meliodas was kindof fun and she was genuinely enjoying trying tomake him jealous last chapter. and then here she realized that she had been enjoying making him upset and hurting him(even if that hadn't been hr intention).
realizing parts of you can be dark enough to enjoy hurtingyour loved one in anyway solong as its a reminder they are your can be horrifying.

and now she has context. maybe if she thought of his face or how he reacted when he let her go on that date without a fuss.
that might make her being upset with herself feel stronger. especially because she wouldn't be just upset she hurt him.
she'd be understandably upset that part of herself genuinely enjoyed that or maybe is enjoying this reaction to the jealousy.

in the end her plan worked so her being upset would be about genuinely enjoying hurting him before even if she didn't know or maybe thinking this was worth it for a second.

after all no one wants to believe their loved one hurting would bring them joy or satisfaction in anyway.

her strengthening her "I don't deserve you"

I wonder if meliodas would blame himself because she apparently doubted his love for her or made himself unapproachable enough she didn't just tell him or ask him.
when in reality it ws just her nerves and just because she didn't see it doesn't mean he doesn't love her. try to calm her down blaming himself or something just for her to refuse him taking respinsability for this.

or admitting that isn't better because he lovs her and the right answer was he should support her ad be there for her even if she loves another. but even when he assumed her feelings for Arthur were real part of him DID give into the temptation to follow and wanted to interrupt and selfishly confronted her about it even though she doesn't owe hi anything.

interesting...I kindof wonder what Elizabeth would have done if meliodas staid mum.
after all diane and her's plan was get get him jealous and get a reaction out of him. it get him to intrupt or stop it. but while he was hurt and upset...his reaction had been to respect her decision and convince himself to support her no matter when hshe chose and who she wanted. HE knows he loves her and the connection but if she fell for someone else not remembering their past I could stil see meliodas standing back for her happiness. that's also a way of showing love because she has the right to explore and choose and Meliodas HAS a very strong willpower. and I don't think he'd try to guilt her if she still thinks her date was real as he isn't dating her. he knows she doesn't owe him anything.

considering this all started with wanting to get a rise out of him because he can be hard to read at times what would Elizabeth have done if meliodas sucked up his hurt and kept it on the inside and tried being supportive. Or if he pretended he was fine around her maybe not wanting to guilt her for something she doesn't have to be guilty about if she truly showed interest in arther.

as much as I enjoy meliodas finally reacting more or less like diane and Elizabeth planned...he went off to get Elizabeth right with energy...but then he saw her kiss his cheek and walk back together right after the festival? wouldn't that blow the wind out of his sails instead of making him confront her? After all they haven't exactly said their feelings outloud or anything before.

Kindof wish we got a alternate version where while WE know Elizabeth while having fun trying to get a rise out of him started reflecting and felt like she was betraying meliodas or even her own feelings by going to get this reaction. and that lead to her cutting the night a little bit short and to go back to the tavern.
cuz up til then is a master piece all on its own ;3

but what would happen if meliodas didn't confront her at the end of the night like this? after all he knows he has no right to because they aren't dating, neither has said their feelings and she doesn't owe him even if it hurts to see her with another guy. that was the reason he let her go reluctantly and told her to stay safe. and if he saw how she came back without knowing her thoughts that would just increase his thoughts that Elizabeth might like Arthur for real right?

what would have happened if meliodas wasn't honest with Elizabeth and showing his anger and possessiveness. if he tried to be supportive or not show how much she hurt him. like how he was when he let her go and the clues that he wasn't dealing with it well were the broken cups and stuff.

considering it was a secert plan by Elizabeth and diane how would Elizabeth deal with meliodas and causing the jealousy or hurt if to apologize she'd need to admit it was a plan. after all she could have just pretended that meliodas was reading into things and she has no idea why he was so bothered. If meliodas didn't give her a opening by showing his hurt and anger openly.

like he has all the memories and it makes sense he'd fall for every Elizabeth eventually. but Elizabeth doesn't have those memories. I think she triggered one of his fears that due to the lack of memories that she could fall for someone else and move on and he'd have no right to be upset. he must have had to deal with the idea before right?
even if maybe past Elizabeths' had past lovers before they met and fell for meliodas.

that I think could have been interesting because Elizabeth wanted to communicate but didn't tell her concerns to meliodas before and instead tried to provoke a reaction she could see as reassuring. after all if meliodas didn't confront her upset in the bedroom...she still thought meliodas was barely reacting. she stopped the date because she felt dishonest with herself even if it was just a act.

I wonder how meliodas would deal with thinking maybe she wasn't happy with him. that meliodas wasn't enough or maybe she wouldn't fall for him this time a day later. we know Elizabeth has decided not to continue the jealousy plan after the festival there but if he didn't know it was a ploy or was convinced it was real. he doesn't seem the type to take his anger out on Elizabeth. would he be subtly more distant with her while trying to give the impression nothing was wrong. tease her or try to get details about her time with Arthur directly under the ploy of being playful and supportive while in reality he is jealous and digging for info and being a bit of a maschoist. would Elizabeth be a bit more dejected or think its hr due to trying to get his jealous and feel maybe she's given him the impression she'll go for someone else. wondering how to fix it. would she down play it as just a friends thing?
since melidas is very good at hiding his emotions how would she know he was hurting or know how to approach the topic or deal with it?

I really like her realizing she may have hurt him from his reaction that you wrote an her admitting she did it cuz she was being a bit selfish and wanted him to be bothered to show he loves her cuz she was to self-conscious to ask him herself. and he's just happy to hear her say she loves him.
though finding out it was deliberate warrents a bit of punishment XD

Story was incredibly well written and kept the personalities of each character from start to finish. Which made the stort that much more enjoyable and believable. I could visualize every moment, with only a few typos and confusing position transitions. Really though, incredible story.

Loved your story. It was absolutely beautiful. The parts about Meliodas and finally expressing his feelings made me cry. :''' But it so was beautiful! I LOVED IT!

Constructive criticism: Though, if I had to find any fault in it, I would have to say that I would have liked Elizabeth to explain her side of the story to Meliodas more. What I mean by that is telling Meliodas why she seemed to have ignored him and went out with Arther. While she did say she did it because she feared he didn't love her, I think explaining it more would be interesting. For example, saying she felt as if he was keeping her at arms length. Meliodas explains everything on his side, I think it is only fair for Elizabeth to do so too. Communication is a must for a healthy relationship after all.

Also, the ending seems slightly rushed, but it's okay. I still enjoyed it. I think adding why she felt as if Meliodas didn't love her might help it seem a little less rushed. We as the read know her reasons, but Meliodas doesn't. But that is only my personal thoughts on the matter. It is your story and you are the master. I hope my review helps.
