This is such a tender and well written story! Each person is totally in character, and I love the references to their wives. George’s eagerness at seeing the men and their relief was heartwarming! I can’t wait to read more of your work :D

A great interstitial scene! It was obvious William was lost for words and he did visit George to make sure he was okay. Great idea to have Thomas check on him too.

Marvelous, just have captures the subtle and deep relationship(s) of these three perfectly with a wry touch. I did think that the two would have visited George and that Wm was mortified that he did not give any words of support to George-and love the different opinions of the wives-rg
