Awe this was so sad, it was a sorta happy ending but still sad! Of course Steve would do something like that, I can totally see that. Loved the fic though! Great writing!

My only issue with the movie was Steve staying in the last for all the reasons you gave even if it was clearly to write Chris Evans out (just like Natasha not coming back for the same reason). Loved this though and loved that you ended it with Buckys thoughts as opposed to Tony’s.

Loved your Endgame fix-it. I love Steve's character, but Tony was the heart of the Avengers and I hate that he died. It is totally believable that Steve would take Tony's place if he had the chance. Well done!

Well shit. this was a better ending than what we got. I always did find it strange that returning the soul stone didn't get something back, so this was a nice piece to read

I consider Endgame ending to be satisfactory for everyone...grief/happiness is part of life.

I love Steve and hated the end of Endgame; I honestly would have preferred this ending. In a perfect world the three of them would get a happily ever after, but I agree with your reasoning to not bring Natasha back as well. Great story :)
