Reviews for Taking A Stand
amaia chapter 5 . 7/10/2019
Terrific story; glad Tony took a stand, & forced Gibbs to tell him how he really feels. I'm not a Kate fan, so thx for that...

Absolutely loved it! Keep going unless that was the ending. Either way, wonderful job.

I have never seen Kate and Tony as being friends; she is far too sarcastic and prickly for there to be any true camaraderie between them. I don't think she has much respect for Tony as a co-worker, never mind senior agent and it very likely that she would believe he would take advantage of her if he stayed overnight. I can also understand why Tim said no to Tony - he only lived in a poky little apartment at the time. He and Tony were certainly not friends in the early days (they barely got on because of the teasing), so it is unlikely he would have wanted a work colleague he only just tolerated in the close confines of his tiny home. I am surprised at Abby's refusal to let Tony stay for a couple of nights though, as they are friends and have known each other since the early days of Gibbs' team. I'm also shocked at Ducky turning Tony down. Perhaps his obsessive privacy is because of his mother, although she and Tony would have enjoyed each other's company, and goodness knows Ducky's house is large enough that he and Tony wouldn't have been tripping over each other. As for Gibbs, well he is pretty anti-social at the best of times. Using his multi divorces is a pretty lame excuse and it shows poor caring for the welfare of his team members that he didn't bother to ask why Tony, with his beautiful condo, should be temporarily homeless.

I was always surprised that Kate wasn't punished for not tackling Haswari when he held Ducky, Gerald and herself hostage, especially as Gerald was badly injured courtesy of Haswari's bullet and desperately needed medical attention. I don't recall her being suspended without pay for dereliction of duty. She clearly hadn't learned any lesson since her last serious error of judgement and it is ironic that Haswari, the man with 'kind eyes', was her executioner.

I wish Gibbs had kept his promise. Towards the end it seemed he did not appreciate Tony.

Enjoyed this very much.

Glad Gibbs and Tony worked things out after they both said their peace and I agree about Kate totally needing more training. She really is the worst profiler out there given her judgement.
DS2010 chapter 4 . 5/13/2019
More self assessment and recriminations. Not all of this is Tony's fault.
DS2010 chapter 3 . 5/13/2019
talk about self-assessment Tony is having.
DS2010 chapter 2 . 5/13/2019
Tony made a lot of good points, too bad Gibbs seems to have blinders on
DS2010 chapter 1 . 5/13/2019
