Brilliant! I always loved how Gobber always misunderstood Gothi, and as for the grammar, for this chapter I think it is fine! ;)

Hiccup's healing is getting a boost from Toothless' saliva, eh? Something Gothi may want to keep a supply of, going forward.

A mysterious dragon to deal with, hope it's figured out how to encounter a Flightmare and end the shadow hanging over Astrid and her family...it's been warping their lives for at least 10 years...

I’m truly enjoying this story. I’ve been following it from the start and I like where you’re going with it. Astrid’s mom is really ripping them apart. I can’t doubt that she has good reasons, but it’s rough on everyone. I hope it gets sorted.

But it appears there's a chance of some reduction in family ire from House Hofferson that may turn into something bigger for Hiccup and Astrid.

Just heal, recover, get back into the swing of things and train that Flightmare...

Gothi, by this time, probably had seen nearly everything...so dragons at her porch didn't faze her in the least when they and their teen riders brought Hiccup to her for help...LOL! Probably expected something like this if it involved Hiccup...

But Astrid finds the only thing that's changed in her 'family' is that they now believe they have the perfect means to wedge Hiccup from title of Heir and insert Astrid into the place. For their own advancement...in the 'War' between Hofferson and Haddock...Her mom's discounting how Hiccup killed a dragon and the aftermath shows just how hateful her parents are in the face of reality...

Astrid brought up some very forceful points of Hiccup's succeeding with a dragon when there were no known means of coming up with the results he had, which took only a fraction of the time when he taught his 'peers' the same thing in the ring, prior to flying out to save their stubborn lives...

I think Astrid's about to embark on something that will solidify her place beside Hiccup, regardless of the Hofferson feud, all the way to their wedding...and beyond.

If I were Astrid, I'd have Hiccup craft a Hofferson sword of her own choosing and design. She may not want anything of her former existence as a Hofferson, other than the possibility that the Bride Price comes to be, to follow her into a life as the Wife and Second-in-Command of Hiccup Haddock...

I like the concept of the story, but it is coming across more like it is bashing Astrid. All her achievements are being taken away and given to Hiccup, and the clear favouritism Gobber is showing is out of character. Gobber cares for Hiccup, but he never let that favouritism show in the arena, and Astrid was never that reckless in the film. If this goes the way the film did, and hiccup gains respect through the dragons, then it seems pointless to take away what earns Astrid respect. Hiccup has his dragons, Astrid has her battle prowess.

Can't believe I didn't spot this fanfic when it first released. Was probably busy revising for my uni exams. Great story, can't wait to read the rest.
