Never trust a kid with a grown up secret. They can't keep their mouths shut! Again you can't judge a country as a whole. Only the people you've taken the time to get to know. The actions of some are not the actions of all. Things are never black and white. There is plenty shades of gray. And no person is black and white or straightforward either. We've all got reasons for what we do. Take the time to get to know someone before judge them!

Zuko's looking for a secret society. So he starts but just straight up asking people about it. He continues by angering some locals. Then he blunders into a contact, but misses when the contact tries to arrange a discreet meeting. He angers more locals by winning their money. He forces the contact to practically wave him down in the street. He misses the secret greetings. Finally, the exasperated contact just plain gives up on trying to stick to the rules and outright tells Zuko that he doesn't have the info Zuko needs. Zuko follows that up by blundering into a riot and assaulting a local authority in a hugely public manner that will give away his identity before he can meet up with any allies.

Yup, sounds like Zuko. XD

Sorry for summarizing your own story to you, but I had a lot of fun watching Zuko take the wrong step in every way. You absolutely nailed his well-meaning but clueless method.
