This was so well written and I thought you did an excellent job keeping them all in character. I also liked Endgame and although I was heartbroken to see some of my favorite characters go, I did appreciate why. Loki’s premature death was the only thing that really bothered me a lot. It was also so out of character. You do a great job writing him into the plot without rewriting the whole story or changing things. Thank you for a great read! :)

This is awesome! I agree with you entirely about the movies. I wanted to see Loki team up with the Avengers to take down Thanos! Or maybe see Loki 'team up' with the BLack Order so he could sabotage them from within. Oh well. This is great. I thought it was really well characterized, and I like that you didn't waste a lot of time going over actions/dialogue we already knew from the movie. You just showed us the changes. And they were epic. Loki is an excellent addition. I'm really excited to see what your thoughts about 'Endgame' were!

with my heart still bleeding out from the hole endgame left it, im glad to have found this story with Loki in it! it wasn't right for him to just die like that when he's been such an integral part to Thor's arc...thanks for writing this! forever a favorite!

Firstly: this is canon. No one can convince me otherwise.
Second: you did a flawless job of incorporating Loki into the narrative! It didn’t feel like he was popping up in scenes he shouldn’t have been in without contributing anything, I could tell you actually put thought behind it and used him organically, without shoving him in for the sake of it. Had Loki lived (that is, if the writers weren’t desperate to off Loki at every turn), I can see this being his role in the movie, for sure.
Third: Loki really needed that closure with Frigga. More so than Thor, I’d hazard to say. Loki choosing to go to Asgard is very in line with his character, and Loki blaming himself for all of this and putting himself down through the story is also very in character. Well done on that!
Fourth: Loki and Valkyrie is the couple I didn’t know I needed but now I love! The progression of their romance was very natural and well-written. I love how they both have to pick up the pieces of Thor’s failure to lead, which is also very accurate to canon, I think. Loki not wanting to leave his people was very sweet, and the kiss at the end was adorable and well-deserved.
All-in-all, you did a fantastic job with this! I’ll be on the lookout for more of your work in the future!

I love everything about this story, and I completely agree that they didn’t give Loki the end he deserved. You wrote his character beautifully and I think he fitted perfectly into the storyline. I also love how you fit in the fact that Loki was mind-controlled during the battle of New York. Wonderful story.

I am personally offended this doesn't have more comments and favorites. I've been looking for a fic like this for ages. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with in Endgame was how they handled Thor and Loki. Since Loki was there at the start, I really wanted him to play part in the end, but apparently the Russos just hate him or something because they keep sidelining him (or you know, making him totally out of character by making him stupid enough to try and attack Thanos with a butterknife head on.)

So, I was super happy to find a fic that not only took care of those issues, but also gave me tons of interactions I've always wanted to see. Loki's interactions with the original 6 were pure gold in here. Getting to see him and Bruce as friends, the banter with Tony, having to face Clint, saying the funeral lines for Nat... And! You even added in some Loki/Val (and used her real name)!

And of course Thor. I really wouldn't have had an issue with their treatment of Thor's trauma if they hadn't treated is as such a joke after all he's lost in the series. LOKI still teasing him makes since though. Every time Thor was on screen I was like "PLEASE let Loki see this" but alas... That's why we have fanfiction. I loved him taking up Thor's role while Thor was... being the way he was.

The movie was great. I like this AU. Will this continue into the post Endgame films as well? There are worse villains than Thanos and make him look like a mosquito. There's one guy who eats planets and another one who was just waiting for Thanos to die and take his place.
