Reviews for Destiny Lost
NekoDaemonQueenZelda chapter 23 . 6/27
Ugh. You know, for all of Pyrrha's virtues, she's still got a hero complex the size of an Emiya's. Fool STILL doesn't realize that she's NOT qualified to shoulder the world's burdens. Has she seriously already forgotten what happened the last time she tried to bottle it up and then pull a big damn hero moment? A sacrifice's worth is judged on the basis of who is saved and her first death saved nobody. A wasted life, and for what? The arrogance of hero types continues to astound me. Some reviewers said this confrontation was lackluster and unsatisfactory but I think Pyrrha ruined it all, not working the author. She hasn't learned a godsdamned thing.

Absolutely love this story, and I can't wait to see it go further.

ALTER-BOT chapter 5 . 6/11
It's kind of underwhelming?
Nyamu chapter 23 . 6/4
Just started reading. Finished all 23 (currently) chapters within the day so my review will be for everything. First of all, I want to say that I am not a fan of Pyrrha. More Garrus is always good though. Yay. Now for the... "complains"? Err... the "point things out but not really complains"?

As I am not a genius in psychology or anything, I am not going to touch so much on Shepard's paranoia (Like how I would just think Pyrrha would just destroy the Normandy from the start if she was on the Collector's side.) However, in your insistence of making a Renegade Shepard, you ended up making a "weird Shepard".

First of all, I'd like to point out that there are "two or more forms" of Renegade (severely limited by game choices).

First is the "Serious Renegade" where they are Renegades because of a bleak outlook of the world, paranoia, more violent Shepard, etc and the few 'Paragon' acts are limited to destroying Human Reaper (simply for lack of trust instead of any moral intentions). They can be cautious and ruthless. It is also possible for them to have overall good intentions and motives

Second would be the "Asshole Renegade". You know, the one that calls the Council only to cut them off, ruiner of lives for shits and giggles.

Renegade does not automatically mean "Be an asshole" or "Make wrong choices." As such, I'd like to point out that sparing the Asari scientist is VERY OUT OF CHARACTER if you want a paranoid Shepard. To be precise, a paranoid Shepard who forces "proof of Aura" despite already watching someone get shot in the face by rockets and also had 'old friend' Garrus backing her up that there was a non-violent Geth on board (with reasons being indoctrination) should be paranoid enough to kill the Asari Scientist that worked in a literal Reaper facility that had most likely indoctrinated Saren.
The Prime Cronos chapter 23 . 6/4
Damn! That's touching! I love your style of writing
Australian Dealer chapter 23 . 5/31
Oh boy Pyrrha angry as fuck
I feel bad for Kasumi when she joins up, everyone is going be like this and she'll be so lost as to why.
TPoynt chapter 23 . 5/31
I had a feeling Pyrrha was going to step in and stop them. However, the idea of the crew no longer fully trusting Shepard and only begrudgingly working with her because stopping the Collectors is too big a problem to ignore, and mutinying would mean not having anyone stop to stop them is super interesting. I’m also surprised that Shepard didn’t realize that if Pyrrha was indoctrinated, confining her to the ship after confronting her like that would have caused her to just rip the ship apart. I’ve never known Shep to overlook something like that.
merendinoemiliano chapter 23 . 5/31
Good mix of introspection and bonding.
wrong light chapter 23 . 5/31
Well... Huh. For all that build up, that confrontation was kind of a let down. Very anticlimactic.
Indecisive Bob chapter 23 . 5/31
You know, something that comes to mind every time I come across a full renegade Shepard in a story: just how does the author intend for the Reaper War to end? Going by canon, playing full renegade gets you the worst endings possible (assuming you’re going with strict canon and no indoctrination theory). Even if we don’t take the ME3 endings seriously, a full renegade Shepard is still burning many more bridges than are built, such as seen here. To be clear, this isn’t a criticism, this whole arc just reminded me of this thought. Keep up the good work.
Glrasshopper chapter 23 . 5/31
Pryyha is like Ruby. Social awkwardness aside they are both pure hearts that just want to do what a huntress does and protect the innocent. Even when bridges are burning, they are down by the river placing stepping stones with their burnt hands.

I'm eagerly awaiting whatever it is you plan to use to recenter her. Depressed Pryyha is like sad Peeny, it makes you feel like you accidentally stood on Zwei's tail.

BTW, I don't recall you mentioning what happened to Grunt. Is he still in his tank, or did the hard renegade ship him off to Cerberus? After paying the ME3 Citadel expansion, I don't think I could ever not open the tank.
MEleeSmasher chapter 23 . 5/31
Knowing canon, THERE is no time to do a "later" since after the Collectors are the Shadow Broker and Indoctrinated agents then slight incarceration.

There is no "later" as far as I'm concerned, meaning you left this "resolved" unsatisfactorily.
