You know, this story seemed familiar to me when I started reading it, but now I remember.
I started reading this a few months ago and dropped it after chapter 3. I made it to the exact same place I did this time.

If people are angry at that scene like you mentioned in the AU at chapter 4, doesn't mean they are emotionally invested in the story itself. It's not a win for you, in any way possible.
After all; stupidity is provoking, incompetance is embarrassing and arrogance is annoying. And your Naruto has all three in abundance.
