I love this one! I really like your take on how Danny could become an ancient and the process of it. That Clockwork would be familiar to him still. That he became ancient through the passage of time on his own. He never would have agreed if he had known. And clockwork would know the best day to take him for him to have that goodbye. It must have hurt to know that Danny was calling and begging him throughout. It may be for the greater good, but it would still hurt. This is going to live in my head for a very long time. 4th time trying to post this review, ff is giving me difficulties.

I'm so happy you continued Mask. I feel so bad for Danny. He's tired and being manipulated but I'm so happy the clones are being stabilized and love the cute sibling moments. And I get why they're trying to convince Danny to stay, since Vlad's not giving them the whole picture. I'm wondering what exactly Danny managed to tell Jazz.

Seriously, I have to say, all of these have been awesome. I've really been enjoying reading them every day. They're all somehow new and interesting – the ghost ice molecular structure was also especially interesting to me (wondering if ectoplasm induces some strange charge polarity effects that overrides the h-bonds of water that create the typical ring H2o structure for ice? It's cool stuff to speculate about). And moreover, the character bonding, yes. Vlad saving Danny is quite a peculiar situation to be in, but I can understand his motives loud and clear. I understand that. It's good stuff. So seriously, thanks for writing all this; you have one dedicated reader here.

Ooh, twist! Here I was focused on what they were going to do with Danny, and now they have evidence against Vlad! It's always heartwarming when the ghosts do things for Danny, even when it is for their own agendas.
The timeline was just a little confusing. Did the ghosts get into Vlad's place when he left for the police station? It wasn't 100% clear which part came first. But that seems to be what you're implying.
I'd love to see what comes of this if you write another part tomorrow!

Wait, I'm confused. People are still visiting after the funeral? Who even showed up for it in the first place, besides a priest or whoever? Like, who did they think the funeral was for? If they thought it was Phantom, the GIW would swoop right in for that body like vultures. If it was an unknown body, wouldn't it have gone to a mortuary, or wherever unclaimed bodies go? I feel like people wouldn't keep coming days later if no one knew who it was. Well, except the police who were in on it.
I also just realized Danny would end up being buried twice. Not a question, just an observation.
