This was so much fun! This is the Deckerstar that we know and love, and I loved the throwback to S1 Chloe. It was a sinful mix of humor, playfulness, and sexual tension. I love it when you write this side of Chloe because you just get her character so well, and you wonderfully captured her humor, cheek, and exasperation. I have to commend you on your comedy writing abilities because it's not easy, but you know what to say, how to say it, how to pace it, and how to tie it all together for maximum satisfaction and enjoyment. The detail in your writing and your exceptional characterization through dialogue and descriptions (which you paired magnificently in this piece) had this scene unfolding itself so clearly in my mind, and not only that, the mix of Deckerstar humor and sexually charged teasing/flirting was so spot on that it could be a bloody scene on the show. I've said that before, but it holds true every time... you just have this way with characters and words.

I mean, whole piece was so them! The way Chloe was exasperated and unimpressed at his whining and hyperbolic reactions to a paper cut, the sheer dramatics Lucifer exhibits because his beloved detective is the very person who caused his injury and he requires the right kind of attention, how he swaps to flirty when she laments (that do with me as you please line was perfect!) was all reminiscent of the Deckerstar dynamics we know and love. You, of course, added to their dynamic by having her shock him by sucking on his injury, and his reaction was one of the funniest things I've read - not only his mix of disgust and arousal, but his panicked desire to just leave, which you described in such a Lucifer way, all the while Chloe seems unaware and concerned. What was terrific about this piece was that you showed just how well Chloe knows Lucifer, and only revealed to the audience that she was purposefully winding him up when he realized it (and his moaned reaction was too adorable!). You perfected it by the way she teases him and let's him think she is going to help, which held just the right amount of sexual tension that not only had Lucifer believing her but the reader as well, only to pull away at the last second. That whole scene really encapsulated the Deckerstar dynamic because you showed that Chloe is Lucifer's equal; she beat him at his own game, she can surprise and out-play him... the devil has met his match, and that's what makes their relationship so special. So, no, your pieces obviously have deteriorated at all, and I sure as hell wouldn't say no to more of these light, teasing, funny, playful little pieces as we grow so close to the premiere date of S4! I'm a bundle of excited energy too!

Why must you hurt me and say that you have to cut 1k stories down to this word count... think of all the intricacies I'm missing, hahaha?! For real though, you just know how to create sexual tension like it's nobody's business, and if you love it so much, please do more of it because the Lucifandom is a total sucker for it. Whatever your creative process is, I trust in it and would happily read whatever story with whatever word count that you post, and I'm excited to see what you'll bring to the table after we've all watched and processed S4, and are impatiently waiting for S5 (it WILL happen! I refuse to project any negative energy into the world about this). Girl, you and your friend are much too kind regarding my review for Come Over Now... I'm blushing (again!) and awkward and flattered and flustered. I seem to have a much better way with words when I'm reviewing creative writing as opposed to creating it, which is a bit of a shame because I would love to be able to do what you do! Maybe I wouldn't be able to offer the insights and make the connections that I do if I wasn't like this, so I suppose I can't complain too much, hahaha. While waiting for S5, I'll most likely re-foray into this series and re-review (particularly the pieces that didn't get enough "review" time the first time around) because you deserve to know how awesome you are and I can't help but gush about good writing! I fully believe that you will get published one day because you are that talented and dedicated, and I'm also stoked to hear that you'll keep your roots here in the place you love. Good luck coming out of Endgame with your soul intact... you'll need tissues.
