jim139 chapter 37 . 6/1 Really great story. |
justjoe chapter 37 . 5/18 What an entertaining story. The angst level wasn't too extreme and the twist was really well thought out and executed. I certainly didn't see it coming. We also got some great Maze and Trixie moments, which I appreciated. No complaints or criticisms from me. Well done. |
johnnycucumber chapter 37 . 2/23 This was terrific! Both a good storyline, and very well written. |
Natters chapter 37 . 1/4 Wow! Amazing fic. I laughed, I cried. Loved it |

Guest chapter 37 . 12/7/2019 That was a great story! Really appreciate the happy ending considering all they've been through in the show...Is it the end though? Might there be a sequel? |
Renzo7 chapter 37 . 11/29/2019 That was an amazing, beautiful, and enjoyable story. I loved it! Your characters were spectacular and I love what you did with them. Thank you for sharing this outstanding story with us. |
Milen Cassandra Riddle chapter 37 . 10/17/2019 This was a great story. Granted, there were a few spots where Chloe was still being called Claire but other than that it's one of the best stories out there. And I would guess that after Minessota the image Chloe will have in her mind any time someone mentions Hell freezing over will be that of Lucifrer constantly complaining about the cold ;) |
Luinlothana chapter 37 . 8/26/2019 This was the story I didn't know I was looking for until I found it. The characterisation is excellent, the plot it compelling and I simply love the style. I cannot remember when was the last time I read a story that made me both chuckle out loud as I was reading and kept me on the edge as a mystery was unfolding. Thank you for that. There are a few particular (and quite random, if we're being honest) things that caught my eye that keep nagging me though. Things like Chloe being the absolute nightmare of a physical therapist with the way she was treating her arm, up to and including trying to drive as soon as the cast was off. Lucifer offering Trixie chevre despite explicitly stating he doesn't like goat cheese (was it the case of don't like but don't dislike and it fits this dish or result of elaborate analysis of Trixie's tastes leading him to the conclusion that she'd like it?) I was also, somehow, in the back of my head expecting that after the statement about who the real devil was Chloe would throw in something along the lines of "you are just a fallen angel who got stuck with an awful job for far too long". And since you stated in your author's notes that you were compelled by the reviews to add a bit to the story, do you think you could be persuaded to make some additions still? Just as a way of inspiring you, I could easily envision a scene where Chloe, remembering the scene with Terri leading the prayer asking for the everlasting mercy for Carl suddenly realising that would be exactly the last thing to give her a peace of mind and trying to, very hesitantly seek Lucifer's assurance that the opposite was true. Only to discover that he and Maze already popped down to make sure it was. Because let's be honest, the moment those two were alone to "discuss" Maze not telling him where Chloe was the conversation would very quickly lead to them supposedly being safe where they were and no harm being done in Maze's eyes and then Lucifer informing her just how inaccurate that was and how close Trixie was to being harmed. I could imagine at that point Maze, unsuited demon that she is to feeling guilty about overlooking a danger, making a very compelling case for them to check things downstairs because what if Carl's case was delegated to some incompetent demon like Squee? ;) Of course if there is one thing that could be more horrifying than suffering in Hell and drawing attention of it's most skilled torturer would be suffering in Hell and drawing attention of it's most skilled torturer by making it personal through trying to harm someone under her protection. Of course to the outside world I they would probably just be gone for one afternoon ("There was that one thing Maze wanted my help with, very poor reception there, sorry about missing your calls") and despite declarations about wanting to be back in Hell actually getting there for a bit could be an opportunity for Maze to realise that as she grew as a character she actually cares more about protecting those she cares about than mindlessly torturing souls for fun and deciding to go back to the mortal plane because it's her decision. All right, I think I rambled a bit too much for one review. Thank you for sharing the story. |

silver-doe287 chapter 37 . 7/29/2019 First of all, amazing story! I was desperate to read fanfic after the season 3 finale that I finished this weekend. And this story was the best! Honestly part of me wishes it had gone like this... I'm a little over halfway through 4 now. Also, I LOVED reading about my home state! You must either have lived here once or know somebody because accurate depiction is accurate. Thank you so much! |
