Guest chapter 8 . 2/8 This is amazing! An epilogue would make my week. |
Jessica Dallas chapter 8 . 1/28 I love the story. I was bawling from the first to the last chapter |
Vienna98 chapter 8 . 1/14 I love this AU! Need more of Shelby and Rachel and of course her being introduced to the rest of the Corcorans! |
ktlynrose chapter 5 . 1/2 That was great! I loved the flow of this chapter, almost like it was comparing different Fridays months apart. I hope you don't mind if I steal that wonderful trick for my own writing? |
Guest chapter 8 . 12/20/2019 Wow! What a perfect fic! |
Spawn chapter 8 . 12/19/2019 It was a difficult read at times, because it was so raw, powerful, and emotion, but Masterfully written. I liked that Shelby made the choice to start living again by going back to the family that loves and supports her and the job that fulfills her. Jesse's speech about how Shelby was and is a parent to him had me all choked up. I adore their relationship in this. Bug barking at Rachel because she looked like Shelby was cute. I thought their talk was a good start and I'm glad that they are finally on the same page and ready to begin a relationship with each other. I can wait to see glimpses of what the future holds for them when you revisit them. Amazing job on the story, as always and thank you for sharing your time and talent with us. Your stories are among my favorites and I'm always giddy when a notification comes saying you posted. You make my days brighter, so thank you. |
KalenCaelli chapter 8 . 12/19/2019 What a perfect story. The prose, the characterization, it’s all flawless |
Guest chapter 8 . 12/19/2019 Thought this last part was lovely and that you left us where everybody should be. Am so glad that it seems like Shelby got closure all-around and that she’s especially open to a relationship with her daughter now. I lost my dad 3 years ago and what you wrote about how sometimes its ok and sometimes it’s not and feeling nothing and everything all at once about it is something I can totally relate to. Your also right in that dealing with grief and hard times is often about taking small steps. Loved it thanks for the story |
bproofmgmt chapter 8 . 12/18/2019 Great, thanks |
Guest chapter 8 . 12/18/2019 Thank you. Wonderful ending! |
dracoismyboyfriendguys chapter 8 . 12/18/2019 So I'm crying. Again. First things first: congrats, angel! You knock it out the park every time, but you know how much I adored this one. Tortured Shelby? Check. Sweet baby angel Rachel? Check. Mr St James showing some vulnerability? Check. An April Rhodes appearance? Check. Tears, angst and confusion which eventually leads to a heart-warming and hopeful end? Check. I'll tell you this over and over again, but you're the best. My absolute favourite is the Jesse/Shelby dynamic and you just do it SO well. I love that he can melt down her hard exterior- it's just so... perfect. When you come back, I would be so interested to see how he's doing too. My sweet baby. Mr Bug. The most iconic character in this story. In a way, I love that he was almost mimicking Michael's actions by bringing S/R together- especially because S realised what he had done through remembering Michael's stories. Love him. Your talent, care and thoughtfulness come through so strongly in your writing. I love a good overarching theme, especially one as real and relevant as this: the idea of opening yourself up after trauma is terrifying, and I think you captured that in S perfectly. But it's necessary. And the combining it with the opening week is perfect and clever and I seriously could go on... Congrats again! You're the best. xo |
