RiseUp04 chapter 3 . 6/12 Okay, but, like, stop eavesdropping, my dude. If Jack doesn't want you to know, then you have no right to know. |
Luraia chapter 7 . 6/21/2019 Yay, Jane woke up. I very much enjoyed these final two chapters (I was quite excited when I first clicked on the new chapter, only to discover that I'd waited so long to read it, there was another chapter after...then completely failed to tell you how much I enjoyed the story until now, nearly a week later). I loved all the characteristics, including Michael's teasing, and Jack's positive outlook on life, and, well, everything. Especially happy endings. It's good to know that both Jane and Jack are okay, and that something good has come out of all their pain. |
Ribeiro1986 chapter 7 . 6/20/2019 Kid sorry been reviewing just now, this week was busy. The story is great. I'm glad Jane was ok. Keep been awesome and good luck |
Phantom Actress chapter 7 . 6/18/2019 How sweet! It's good to see that Jack and Jane are getting better! And ignoring the doctor. Just a bit. |
Percie Jean chapter 7 . 6/17/2019 Awww, that was a sweet ending! Ellen's snarky little one-liner made me smile (I could totally see her saying it, too), and I liked how you tied in the idea that chimney sweeps are lucky with Jack's story arc. Thanks for giving us such a well-written and enjoyable story. Looking forward to where you decide to go next! |
Sir Perfluous chapter 7 . 6/17/2019 Oh, I see what you did there. Very sly of you at the end but also sweet. ;) All's well that ends well and I'm glad Jane is on the mend. All in all, a nice little dive into Jack's backstory and some development for him as well. Thanks again for writing it. This was an enjoyable read! |
Percie Jean chapter 6 . 6/11/2019 Oh, this was breathtaking. I love how you wrote the scene where Mary Poppins and Jack were among the lights. You do a great job of contrasting Jack's childhood fears of the dark with the comforting images of light without things feeling overdone - it's got that nice balance of pithy and gentle that is *so* Mary Poppins, and the entire scene feels very believable but also very magical. The deft foreshadowing of Jack's future as a leerie was another nice touch. And, as I've remarked before, I really enjoy how you write Bert - it's so perfectly in-character. Beautifully-written chapter! |
Ribeiro1986 chapter 6 . 6/11/2019 Mary poppins always be there for the ones who need her, huh? Great job |
lily moonlight chapter 6 . 6/11/2019 Hey! I had to leave you a review here :D I've caught up with the story and really enjoyed reading it! You've made me want to watch the original again, and see the new movie! I love what you've written here, it's really lovely and beautifully described. And thank you for the mention! Any time :D |
Sir Perfluous chapter 6 . 6/10/2019 While I haven't seen The Princess and the Frog, that was a great little cameo for Mary Poppins. Seriously, I think you got her speech, her mannerisms, and her whimsy just perfectly here. Most of all, I really liked the message she imparted on Jack and the inspiration it gave him to become a leerie. Brilliant chapter Chibi! Shine on! |
Phantom Actress chapter 6 . 6/10/2019 I love the beginning. The reference to Chim-Chim-Cher-ee. The thought of Bert teaching little Jack that song makes me smile. |
sara.holliday.7777 chapter 5 . 6/3/2019 Jane and Jack are cute in the moviehope you continue this. |
Percie Jean chapter 5 . 6/3/2019 Your characterization of Bert is so spot-on, and the scene of him and young Jack/Joaquin meeting was really sweet. I also liked the connection between Bert's work as an artist and the impression it made on Michael, inspiring the latter to become an artist himself. So many thoughtful details and ties to the original source - well done! :) |
mgsglacier chapter 5 . 6/2/2019 This is such an adorable story! I've been following it for a while and have loved every chapter but life's gotten busy with the end of school and all, and I totally forgot to review until now - I apologize. I love your intertwining of Jack's backstory and Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hispanic heritage, especially how he learns English through spelling and rhymes, and all the soft moments between the different characters. Also, you do a fantastic job of ensuring everyone is amazingly in-character, while also adding depth and your own headcanons to the story and overall it's written very well. Jack's PTSD flashbacks read accurately and the transitions are smooth, and it was so interesting to see how his own fear of the hospital was overridden by protectiveness for Jane. Overall this was really well done, and I loved it to bits! Thank you for taking the time to write it! |
Ribeiro1986 chapter 5 . 6/2/2019 Awesome job kid! Congratulations |
