This is the kind of reaction and feeling I hope from Adrien in season four, a deep and heartfelt realization and understanding of the sorrow Marinette felt due to his very naive actions. I know that’s vindictive and in real life, I’d want the other person to understand deeply but for both to heal quickly but it’s been so sad seeing her get her hopes dashes repeatedly and be broken down over and over. I sincerely hope there’s a continuation to this. It works as a stand alone but there’s room for so much more.

First, credit of course. I like your writting style very much and most of your works are good and entertaining.
Ok, now I have to ask, this is just a fic about her parents being harsh and unreasonable right? It's not like...what you actually think right? I sincerely hope not when you have fics like Practice Makes Perfect where Marinette stomps on Chat's heart but gets away with it because ''oh It was Adrien so I love him now'' and he instantly forgets she basically used him while perfectly knowing he had feelings for her.

Now, It's not like Adrien can read her mind, up until even Pupeteer 2 he still feels hopeless in social interactions, add to it that she constantly runs away from him and ''Oh, she totally has a crush on me!'' is not the first thing that comes to mind unless you are a creep. The fact that when asked directly by him multiple times she has lied to his face and told him she barely likes him as a friend doesn't help. Everyone knows that Marinette is the only one getting in the way of her own ships, either by secrecy or fear. it's basically a staple of the show.

Not to mention that if we are talking about liars and bad decision, Chat Noir just received a massive beating while trying to save her because of her lying. You know Chat Noir right? Her ''partner''? The one who's confirmed in canon (Chat Blanc) to have genuine feelings for both of her alter egos? The one who's genuine feelings are for Origins (clumsy, scared but brave)Ladybug who he has a bond of trust and friendship with, while she chases Adrien who she can barely hold a conversation with to really know him?(But of course god forbid Chat makes a mistake, gives debatably bad advice or gets pouty for 2 minutes after being hurt by a rejection like a normal human being would).

'Sigh' I am really sorry if this is more of a rant than the review it should be. It's just that I had the luck to read this one after Why We Shouldn't Be Together plus other works. Guess I'm salty because I can easily fill up the archive with stories where Adrien hurts Marinette in some way and he has to paint the damn sky pink to even begin to get a chance at ''redemption'' while the reverse where she has to I can count in one hand with fingers to spare.

I’d like to see a sequel of this, about how Adrien tries to fix the problems he now knows exist, and Marinette’s side of this story and her reactions to Adrien’s attempts to fix their friendship

She needs to move the fuck on, let her past crush on Adrien die... she’s young and has a whole life in front of her. That crush wasn’t healthy at all, she needs a love that will support and lift her spirits, not give her anxiety attacks and ulcers...

I... kind of want to see another chapter or two of this to see how he tries to fix this.
