An interesting story so far, but if Maxime and Julien get away with the abuse for more than a day or two it's going to ruin the story... with Fleur's parents and Dumbledore around, as well as Rita, there are too many easy ways to expose them and no plausible way they can maintain deniability.

Found this by fic on Reddit, and I absolutely love it.
From the way you portrayed Fleur early on, and then seeing how she leaned about Harry and changed her ways, to Harry’s injury and how it connects him with Fleur and to how Fleur’s mother seemed to know more that she let on, there are so many interesting and intriguing aspects to this story.
No story has recently quite captured my attention this one has, and I’m really hoping it continues.
There aren’t many well written Harry/Fleur fics out there, and it’s slim pickings these days for that ship.
Excellent work on this story, and I hope that you come back to it one day.

I just hope when you decide to continue this mostly unsatisfying and disturbing story, that you lay off the abuse/torture theme you and a lot of uninspired authors on the site seem to fall into. Harming and abusing people is not the only way to progress characters.

Looks like Fleur has some problems of her own. Hope she and Harry will be able to help each other out

The constant use of ‘Veela’ and ‘French witch’ is irritating for some reason. It doesnt take anything away from the story, just a pet peeve

This is the first review I've ever written on this site and I've been using it for almost a year, this is really great work, can't wait to read more of your fics and I look forward to seeing where this one goes.

Im really enjoying this story so far. Ive read stories where the basilisk venom had different side effects on Harry, but never something quite like this where he hasnt recovered. Im looking forward to reading more, and to see if/how hermione and ron find out as well as how fleur's abilities grow.

You even downgraded Harry's health. Canon Harry was fit, even athletic. I guess you belong to the type of writers who prefer Harry to be pathetic.

First of all I want to say I really enjoyed this first chapter. You have a natural writing style and you've done an excellent job of showing rather than telling.

Having said that I would suggest you get a Beta to assist with your story. There are some simple grammatical and spelling mistakes that could easily be fixed with an extra pair of eyes.

I really like where this is going and I'm curious as to how Harry's condition will affect his performance in the tasks.
