Oh jeez, poor Lucy. Wyatt's doing a complete 180 from meltdown to practically wooing her, and she's fighting so damn hard to not fall (further) for him.

Lol though, she doesn't realize what people are thinking. Though as soon as you said Wyatt told someone that she wasn't feeling well that morning, I knew where that would go. And yay for me not being the only one anymore that has tackled the issue of Lucy's time travel/reproductive/menstrual issues, lol. But that's going to take a lot of 'splaining when she/Wyatt finally realize what Poe there is thinking... I'm here for it!

Therefore, I appreciate the extra work it took to bring fans of this story a new chapter :) Between Wyatt’s jerk behavior earlier and her own insecurities, Lucy is so uneasy about her “husband’s” seemingly out of nowhere change of heart toward her, I can hardly wait for the payoff to this slow build :)

And just thinking about feminine hygiene in the 18th century makes me shudder...

Hey, so I read your A/N on chp 23. I apologise if my comment came off as nasty, it wasn't intended that way. I really love your stories, esp "Torrent" and "Once upon a Highway".
I'm a fan of your writing and love what you've written in this story, but in my review I was only hoping to give a constructive criticism since I felt Rufus in the beginning came off annoying here which was slightly off putting but I understand how my wordings would have come off has nasty and I'm sorry you had to read that on your daughter's b'day.
I'm not a bully, definitely don't want to bully you to discontinue your work and I don't have an account here because its pretty distracting to me to have an account and favourite stories,receive alerts, so I come here once a month when I'm free and me being a guest viewer has nothing to do with bullying and I always leave reviews though they are named as guest.
I hope this clears the misunderstanding and the fact that your fans love your work and don't want you to feel discouraged to write.

A great chapter...Rufus builds a heater, Wyatt cooks n Lucy needs someone to cuddle up to!

Oh, Lucy. 18th century expectations? A big one of those is makin' babies. Don't forget about that one while you're snuggled up in bed with Wyatt. Especially given that he's likely stuck on the notion that you're going commando 24/7. Including when snuggled up to him.

I need some meddling from the actual 18th century folk to force some more husband/wife roleplaying, and thus actual feelings coming to the surface!

It's funny - you've got him at least admitting that he's feeling guilty, he cares, he respects her, he wants to make it up to her, he shouldn't treat her like that, she matters, she deserves more from him, he needs her - but both you/he very carefully still don't admit/realize WHY all of the above is true. He's still just not getting that he feels that way because he HAS moved on, and is in love with her. Come on, Wyatt - you're so close, just admit it! Even when he was disappointed to not be actually married to her, he's still being obtuse about why he's so bummed. You're not upset that you don't deserve her being that nice you you, doofus, you're upset because you WANT to be married to her because you LOVE her. (And she loves you back, which is why she's doing a hell of a lot more than Jessica ever did.) Idiot. He loves her to the point of inventing a washing machine (or at least making Rufus do it) - how many guys, husbands or not, go to those lengths?

Hopefully the next chapter is coming super quick, because I'm hoping Lucy's POV gets a turn soon. And, of course, I hope they both admit to feelings soon too :P

I like this story. I find it annoying that some finds your writing annoy. If they have nothing nice to say, they should, as my momma always told me, say nothing at BB all.
