I love this and I can't wait to read more! I've been binge-reading a lot of Snape-Harry mentor fics (got any favorites to recommend? :), and this story has a lot of potential. I've really enjoyed how you have been developing their relationship here. Second year at Hogwarts should be interesting. I wonder, will Harry trust Snape with his suspicions/concerns about the Chamber? Your writing has been fantastic so far, and I can't wait to see where you take this.
Side note, in reading so much HP material, all of the American/English differences have been fascinating to me, a Texan who's never left the southern US. Just wondering, would you happen to have any suggestions for an aspiring American HP fanfic writer who wants her stories to sound British-authentic? I've picked up some stuff, but heaven knows I could always use a broader understanding/greater vocabulary.
Also, I agree that it's important to spread the message about BLM, and it's hardly complaint-worthy to leave it at the end of a fanfic chapter. My friends and I have been having some very interesting conversations, in some cases bringing to light our slightly different views on certain things, which I was unaware of prior to recent events. Anyway, I hope that you're doing well in this insane period of time. I'm excited to see what else you write, and I hope you have a great day!
