Okay so I don't remember who caused the blackout in canon... or if it was even adressed... but I'm sure this little interaction of Ikari and the old men didn't happen. Or at least we didn't see it happen. Cool.

Wait, we skip five days after? wh-what about Gendo? What about Asuka? You're going into detail of these few days right? Oh, okay, yeah, so it was surgeries and stuff... damn... I guess this makes sense from a more realistic perpective, with a teenager having a hole in his leg and all. And of course Tamako is his phisical therapist.

I think Apathy is one of the main problems you have to face Shinji. Luckly you're an empath in this so...

Ah, those glorious first few days of dating when you're a teenager. I remember DESPISING the 'girlfriend' label when I was 17 as well. I know this Shinji is 16 but I got my first 'serious' fling at 17. And of course Ritsuko is a bit of a tease too.

Oh yeah, the spider in the last battle got pretty far. AND seeing Lilith made Shinji think and feel strange things right? Yeah. And of course Ritsuko is evasive.

I guess moving the essential personel into a single barracks for security reasons makes sense after what happened. Oh boy... Asuka will... Actually I've no idea what she'll do...

Oh crap, those bodyguards we saw die had been with Asuka since she was 9? Damn... And of course this is another blown on Asuka's psyche. How will she come back from this I wonder? Will she pilot (activate Unit 2) again? All this thinking about Shinji, she's not gonna be able to see he could probably help her get past her mental walls is she? It's not 'freaky mind powers', Asuka, he's an empath... she's even thinking out loud about Shinji and dissing her father... This is just depressing, this is sad.

*Leonidas yells* : THIS! IS! EVA!

AHEM, sorry about that. Looking forward for more. Maybe Asuka WILL try to castrate Shinji...

Absolutely awesome chapter. I love character oriented bits like these.
Now... “Shinji and Tamako sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!”
Really though that was just wonderful, that little moment between them was heartwarming. Here’s hoping that if they don’t make it Shinji can at least preserve a friendship there.
As for Asuka...well, you know what your doing.

We got four factions at play now! Team Seele, Team Heavenly Host, Team NERV, and Team Shinji. Interesting dynamic coming along.

Tamako being Shinji’s physical therapist is so dang cute! As always, the banter between them is always great.

And it looks like Ritsuko is already trying to get on Team Shinji. Or maybe she’s trying to get him on her own side? I’m not sure what her motives are, but nonetheless, good job on making Ritsuko someone important and more than just Misato’s friend or someone Gendo uses like so many other fics.

And it looks like the Asuka redemption story will start. Sad to see that she’s still hurting. But this ability of hers to know where Shinji is wherever she is gives me some hope that their friendship will come along soon.

That was a fun time(sarcasm). Also, Shinji's got a girl, nice!

This is a good view of the military aspect of this type of attack. It even took me a while to figure out which military term was which.

Ritsuko is torturing Shinji over his leg wound huh? I don't even remember which angel this one is supposed to be. The spider one? Instead of a blackout we get an assassination atempt? At least Rei is already deployed. And I don't think the Angel is going to fit you little plan Rei... Yup, acid spilling spider, called it. Acid all around Rei. Like I said; it won't fit your little plan.

Going after your sister like this might be a bad idea Shinji. Or maybe it was the best idea... the angel is dead... wow, I did NOT see this coming... Oh wait is it really dead? Oh wait, no it isn't, it's talking to Shinji, calling him Lilim. How? I guess Shinji doens't care because he just hurdled himself into the darkness to just kill it.

Oh crap, did Rei just fainted? Or.. ?

Danm, Shinji... That isa harsh. I guess it's a good thing he's still fighting through the disgust? Andf now he went for Rei. I guess this was a pretty epic battle. Good Job.

Like this rendition of the Matarael fight. If there’s one bad thing I can say about the original series, is that not all of the fights were very good. This is one thing the Rebuilds certainly do better. And even though I do like the teamwork between the three pilots in the OG anime, this rendition of the fight is certainly more exciting. Although I do have to ask, when the Angels talk, can people hear them? Or is it just Shinji? Or can no one hear them and it’s one of those things only the audience is suppose to hear?

Well I’m all caught up, and it’s been one hell of an enjoyable ride, but if you don’t reply to a single on of these reviews, then I really only need one answer...How do you manage these weekly uploads?!
