i wonder how long it's going to take the present rurouni to remember kaoru or it's a different timeline! O_O maybe enishi can have this tomoe or kaoru is going to be changing the past and hopefully tomoe can get to know this kenshin and then she can go back in time and grab her brother and get the heck out of kyoto and move back to edo where they belonged... their poor father. i'm just thinking crazy stuff and inflicting my speculations onto you. B-)
gah, i got the name of the ninja group wrong, it's been a really long time since i'd done any real research into 'rk... i had assumed that since ''shin'' means ''silent like death'' the name must have been correct and of course, i was mistaken. yaminobu... i'm going to have to write that a few times so it sticks... and i spelled ''sword'' wrong! sorry.

finally! someone who is going to have kaoru being kaoru and who will pounce him and swat at him and chase him down, this is what young kenshin needs! instead of the morose and angry but properly boring tomoe (i've nothing big against her, just that she never let akira know she loved him, causing akira to join the bakufu to earn her love and once she knew it was partially her fault she goes and conspires to kill the soldier who did his job. she, instead of sitting on enishi and making him stay with them at the cabin and telling kenshin the plan so that the ninja would have to leave their trap to confront kenshin on battousai's turf. she left to lead him into a trap. instead of stabbing the yoshinobu leader in the kidney or in his armpit of his sward arm or even hamstring him, she gets between two fighting swordsmen to die [maybe purposely, if you want to hear, i'll elaborate on my speculation] in front of her brother [she must have forgot about him] and causing kenshin so much guilt.)

okay, what i know so far: tomoe hadn't met kenshin yet... so they've never been married and even though she is on a mission to kill the battousai she'll be meeting the rurouni. battousai hasn't met tomoe either and jinchuu hasn't forced kenshin to tell everyone his past so no one else knows anything. i assume that kaoru was transported back to the incident when he was supposed to meet tomoe. i still don't know what arc they're in, meji arc or kyoto arc in the anime when kaoru was transported...

''tomoe dono, you're alive!?'' ... ''battousai!'' as she looks around for her tanto to rush him and stab him. ... ''oro?!'' xD this might be amusing.

I loved this chapter. I found an error, or lack of clarity or understanding or whatever you want to call it. It read like Kaoru kept her Shinai up her sleeve, and that wouldn’t work.

she can be a proper sheath, hopefully one who knows that iizuka is the traitor... although even so, she's never been associated with with the yaminobu ninja and her sword style budo would not favor revenge, even if she had cause. she'll be good for him, already she knows who he is and who he becomes... and she knows his shishou and can drop hiko's name (that would surely get a reaction out of him... unless it's before the tokyo arc). lol

Got to wonder what happens to Kenshin in Meiji didn’t become his wife & die. Does he lose his memories? Time travel always gets a bit mind blowing.

I really like this time "exchange" between Kaoru and Tomoe. We'll see both women interacting with Battousai and Rurouni, but in reverse. Poor Kenshin, he will despair with the situation. Thank you for the update!

Thats a mighty long break between chapters. Looking forward to the next, hopefully longer one.
