I love how Steve doesn’t want to go, but he knows Nat is good at nagging him, so he’s going on dates to humor her. She really is like a bulldog when she has her mind made up about something.

Gah, that must have been awful for him to sit there and listen to weird and uncomfortable statistics. Eliza is definitely a strange one. Who wants to date a woman who talks about the dangers of food poisoning through milk? Steve and Nat going out for a milkshake afterwards is a great little dig.

I’m convinced that Steve is also contributing to make these dates end badly because he knows the kind of woman he wants and it’s Natasha. He enjoyed the movies he watched with Natasha because he was watching them with her. The company you keep can influence your experience. They’re spending time with each other after every date, which means they’re having dates themselves and Nat doesn’t realize it. Not yet anyway.

He got them kicked out of a bowling alley because he miscalculated his strength? Yeah, he’s totally sabotaging these dates. XD

I wonder if the Kate Steve went out with was supposed to be Sharon from SHIELD or if you just chose the name at random. SO glad he drove her away.

Aha, Now we see Nat seeing Steve in a not so platonic way. The fact that she’s glad his date ended early and she’s taking notice of his looks means that she’s begun to have feelings for him. This is excellent progress!

Akdnsjsjs, Nat is blind to the fact that she literally just asked Steve out on a date. They’ve been dating this entire fic! And now he’s found a date by himself and she’s concerned that he’ll hit it off with the woman and he won’t be available anymore. And she’s trying to pretend that everything is okay when inside, she’s probably feeling angsty and frustrated. I can’t wait for their final confrontation.

Omg, she took a mission and didn’t do her best because she let Steve’s date go to her head? Woman, talk to him and tell him you like him! Don’t keep him at an arm's length.
Sulking with classical music playing in the background! That is now my headcanon for depressed Natasha. But she also has to be holding a glass of wine of vodka. XD

"Quit thinking about ways to kill Clint." He knows her so well! I love that Clint had a talk with Steve about being an oblivious fool. Sometimes it takes a man to help another man out with these kinds of things. And Clint is married as well as best friends with Nat, so he’d know what was going on.

I knew he sabotaged the dates! Good man. He knows what he wants AND what he needs. The fact that he kept ruining the dates so he could spend time with Natasha is so darn adorable and romantic. Steve is such a sweetheart. Man, I love the two of them together.
