If he wants Frodo to sign the treaty, then he should kidnap Merry and Pippin (and Sam, but I think Sam would kill Bramblethorn before he gets the chance to kidnap him!), and threaten to hurt them, especially Pippin, because he's the youngest. |

| KtShhh chapter 16 . 12/7/2003 Well! I must tell you I've found this story to be very enjoyable! And I want to thank you for staying within the realm of taste (well.. as tasteful as possible dealing with... stuff... um... I mean, thank you for not being overly explicit!) A habbit of mine is that I HAVE to finish any story I start just to make sure the characters come out okay, and for most angsts I find myself skipping whole paragraphs and chapters for fear of the over-the-top gratuitity I'm sure to find there. But I was able to read this story all the way through and found it to be QUITE satisfying. Very nice pacing and narrative skills, and I was overjoyed to see the characters shown in a quick-minded and high-spirited light. They do everything you hope they do: Sam finding Frodo right away in the forest, Merry listening sharply for information in the pub, Sam alerting the mayor and finding him actually helpfull... and Frodo's mercy at the end. Thanks for writing this, I look forward to reading anything you might conjure up in the future! |
