A small thing, but it really makes me happy to see so many characters that are all so comfortable around each other. Kagome and her roomates, Inuyasha and his roomates ... they all feel like such close friends! They're the kind of groups that I would love to hop into the story and be a part of myself. Besides, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to see Bankotsu, Kouga and Miroku being so purely protective of Kagome.
Also, having the original Inuyasha storyline as a sort of background legend is a really nice touch. I'm glad to see that factoring in more with Tessaiga.
