You know I actually went and looked up that story you mentioned. Have to say...it makes sense. Ruby, as the main character, is always fighting people as skilled or more skilled than she is. Her training is also likely better cause she got trained by a actual experience Huntsman with a nearly similar weapon to her own.(I say nearly cause his is sword/shotgun/scythe instead of scythe/polearm/sniper) Adam's semblance is a pretty much nerfed form of Yang's since Adam HAS to hit/block something with his sword for it to even activate at it's most powerful. Yang can be hit ANYWHERE and power up from it. Hell if she hadn't been in shock and agony along with everything else she was feeling during the Fall of Beacon the simple fact of the amount of damage from her arm getting lopped off would have likely super charged her semblance and while he is recovering from his swing and has no built up energy Yang would have a ton and one good arm left to deliver a punch with. But back onto it Adam's style, Iaido, is a SPEED based style. In order for it to be effective you have to be faster than your opponent. VERY hard to do against a person who's own semblance makes them FAR faster than you.

Tac, i must say, as someone who has read through some of the other fics you have made, this one is awesome! 1st off, Ruby's reactions to all of those abilities is just perfect, 2nd, i love how you keep all of your characters (especially this one) from becoming a Gary Stu, that aura limit for both the bot form and the weapons? a really cool idea! keep up this amazing work!
