Hypocrisy, Vengeance and Dogma...

The Former Sentiment for a Chief who believed he 'raised his Son' and whatever 'he did in raising his Son' was finally bearing 'Fruit'...as the Viking he always wanted. Instead of the Fishbone he always Scorned...Until Dragon Training. Also for a Shield Maiden who Felt something other than Scorn for the Fishbone and Jealousy for the Usurper of her Rightful Place as her Classes Top Student...As Guilt starts to eat at her Pride...While Wondering how the Runt of Berk was Besting the Best of her Generation...

The Middle Sentiment...for a Chief and a Shield Maiden whose existences only go from Act to React, with no time taken to learn, understand, or alter perceptions to leave the Rut they Live by only seeing things in the 'Clarity of the Viking Way'...

The Latter Sentiment...feeds directly from the Middle One...This Rut of a Life...gives no Room for seeing a Future coming that will either cast 'The Viking Way' into the Sea...or Crush It...

Perceptions of what was and what Hiccup was becoming will remain a mystery as Berk will let the Runt fade into a past they'd rather forget...Something that was inevitable the way his life was going at Berk, anyway.

A promised Slaughter of a Dragon...to 'Honor' someone, only a couple on Berk...Really Appreciated.

The rest of Berk are nothing more than Sheep, led by the Sentiments described above.

And a Chief who sees things the way he wants them to be seen.

Mutually exclusive 'details'...that make no sense when considered by those who see things from the perspective of people who aren't aware...that a friendly dragon was involved in Hiccup's exodus from Berk.

Astrid, for now, is the only person looking at the scenario she came upon with skepticism, but she too only sees things from what she 'knows' from her upbringing as a dragon fighter in training...Viking and misses something that will be so obvious when an alternative to Viking indoctrination and dogma turns it all on its head...

So...none of what really happened is considered...making the Useless Runt of Berk's disappearance a mystery to some, and a blessing to most of the rest of Berk...

Can't wait for when the 'dead' return from the dead, riding a Night Fury...

And maybe, it'll be...a 'New Hiccup', too.
