Interesting story so far and I like the reflective thoughts as well. Oliver's total personality took a 180 in Elite force which sucked.

I never really got into Elite Force, but this makes me insanely curious to explore it. I've always loved character studies and reflective pieces like this, and even though I didn't get all the references Kaz made to past events, it was still incredibly interesting. Especially the bit about the compounded trauma in a short period of time - that, in particular, makes me wonder about the Lab Rats / Elite Force Universe in general, and how much the characters go through without really being affected psychologically by it.

Like. I think a lot about the time Chase was buried in an avalanche and thought he was going to die, so he decided to record what he fully realized could be his last words. The show just kinda glossed over it, but... that was really a big deal to me. :/

So yeah. These kind of fics are my favorite. I really like Kaz's introspection here, considering what little I remember about his character, and this was very enjoyable to read.

So now, of course, I have to finish what I'm procrastinating on, but I appreciate this reprieve. :)
