On the one hand the Astrid vs Venomcup fight is obviously very tense, and it was a really good scene, I was legit nervous the whole way through.
...But on the other hand once I re-read it I realized that it's a fight between someone who hasn't eaten in days, and barely moved for that same amount of time, vs someone whose already exhausted and literally needs to take a break mid-fight to throw up. I have the feeling that from a third parties perspective this was not an impressive duel.
Don't get me wrong, I'm fucking loving this, and the fact that Grimmel is forcing Hiccup to fight in this condition is horrifying. But like. There is definitely some black comedy in the mental image of someone having to pause in a fight to the death so they can throw up.

Oh damn, cliffhanger! I got into this story late due to a lack of time but damn do I regret not reading it sooner.
