Nope, nothing confusing in this chapter. Genma obviusly did understood it a few chapters ago and Kakashi did warn Jiraya about Danzo. Everything was clear, I reassure you. You writing didn't let place to doubt.

That aside, I have a question. Where did you find the Databook ? I searched for it (PDF or whatever extension you may have) but I didn't find it. Honestly the wiki aren't very concise when it comes to date of birth, age at becoming genin, chunin, jounin, anbu or important event. And so, having the databook would indeed be vey helpful. Shisui, for example, is a character from whom I constantly find conflicting information. For some, he's the same age as Itachi, for others he's two or three years older. For some he became Genin at four—not likely since the youngest was Kakashi at five—and four others at six. For some he became ANBU before 10 and for others just before his death. For some he died at eleven and for others at 14. And so, I'd really like to get the truth.
