I don’t know wether to hate their relationship or love it for making sense. They’re young and Jess’s communication with Rory isn’t going to change overnight. However their communication sucks and I haven’t seen them talk like friends like they did on the show talking about books and music And stuff. It’s almost like their bonding things for each other and they definitely aren’t opening up or talking about how they feel. It seems stiff and tense all the time and like the relationship is purely physical right now. Right now I can’t see it working out and I agree with Lorelai.

Again, I love how you take these Jess/Logan confrontations , and tweak them to be better than the original. I love even just listening to Rory and Jess talk about everyday, mundane th8ngs, and then the blonde dick from Yale shows up, and it all shatters. He really is an asshole! Really liked the scene between Luke and Jess, and I have to say, I didn’t miss LOrelai in this chapter!

This is really good, I don’t think I’ve read anything with this storyline before, with them being together that summer and then it turning into a re-write of season 6.

idk if you’ve ever seen the original Endless Love movie but when I was initially reading this chapter it reminded me of this scene/convo

Ann Butterfield: Life goes on. We change.

Finally caught up after a hiatus. Must say, I am disappointed you ended the summer as you did with everyone calling it a failure. I’m glad Rory didn’t, but apparently her good experience with Jess had little effect on her since she still went to Logan. And I don’t understand why Rory didn’t have the same reaction to Mitchell’s words especially when she herself started questioning her future plans while with Jess. I like that Jess has found his niche and wrote his book, but I think Rory would have been better off beside him in Philly then turning into a privileged partier at Yale with Logan. Now, she doesn’t deserve Jess and the expectation to marry Logan and be a society wife will be worse.

I liked being inside Rory’s mind and thoughts. There she is wanting to be “in” the life she has with Logan and the LBD, and trying to convince herself this is what makes her happy, and almost managing to do it. Then Jess reappears, and she starts second guessing her choices. Sometimes, you can make yourself believe you’re where you want to be, and you could probably stay there and continue to be content. Then something, or someone else comes into your life, and no matter how much you try to fight it, you start realizing maybe it’s not what you want. I can see this happening to Rory. The one thing I don’t know is how long it’s gonna take her to come around.

Rory better say goodbye to Logan before she breaks 2 men’s hearts. If she thinks Jess and her can be friends while she dates Logan, she’s about as delusional as you can pull her and Jess have is undeniable, and the tension palpable. This should be an interesting ride

Oooffff, Rory! It’s not cool to use Jess to get over Jess, which means you’re not over Jess! I think Jess should not agree to see her again for a while. She’s breaking his heart. Some couples cannot be friends after it’s over (especially if it isn’t over!).
