| Guest chapter 3 . 4/2/2019 Post-War Marriage Law stories make me feel angry. Here are a bunch of rich bigoted politicians who probably didn't fight at all in the war (at least on the light side), trying to regain their power by forcing their will upon the very people who saved them all. This last war was fought primarily by the young, the very people who are basically now being enslaved to the will of the government. If this thing is so unpopular, why not rise up and make sure the thing is repealed? They may be able to snap the wand of one or two isolated people at a time, but how can they fight a small army? There can't be many active, healthy aurors left after the war - there sure weren't many at the final battle. I see where you are going - the one person who the people would gather around to fight with is Harry, and he won't fight without Hermione, who is too war-weary to go through it again. What you aren't treating seriously enough is the horror of the possibility (the PROBABILITY, knowing what we know of the ministry) that Hermione or Ginny would be matched with Malfoy or some other foul git. This should have Harry and Ron so frightened and angry that they would rise up and FIGHT against the injustice. Harry, especially, has no reason to trust the ministry. That being said, it looks like you are going to pair Harry with Hermione, which is good, but I hate that it looks like the ministry is going to be the one to pair them. I don't want those people to do anything that would show they are making the correct decisions! "Oh look, there are the happy Harry and Hermione Potter! Weren't we so smart and insightful when we enacted that marriage law and forced those two together." Hey, why can't they get around this and just run off and elope with someone they trust!? The ministry can cancel engagements, but can they reverse a legal and consummated muggle marriage? |
| Guest chapter 3 . 3/31/2019 It really bothers me in docs when Hermione suddenly becomes drop-dead gorgeous when she puts on make up, but no one ever notices her looks normally like she’s in a 90’s movie. Look, if you’re beautiful with make up on, you’d be at the very least pretty and affective without it! Also, Ron annoys me. He’s a child. |
