Loved this whole thing! Love that they used Nana’s band and that she survived. Her relationship with Donna was so sweet and I loved how much Harvey loved her!

OKAY! I just found this story and have been reading each chapter today. I was gonna wait to review when I got to the end but this line KILLED me!: “ Because even though she has always been his, He has never fully been hers.”... literally said “OOF!” when I read it hahah I am loving this so far!

Loved this story. Different from most. Loved the psych side of it, the flashbacks and the evolving relationship between Donna and Harvey. And, of course, I loved their time in Cortland and the flashforward!

This story is one of my favourites for a few reasons. First, you write Donna incredibly well and I loved the details you included about her past, especially Nana (Now I wish she was a real character). The details in this and the date jumping made this so fun to read along with and I loved how you revisited so many important scenes between the pair. The small snippets of each of these scene are one of the things that make this story so powerful, because they leave me wanting more of each of them.

The epilogue was the icing on the cake - the fact that Nana can read people like Donna can was genius, and Harvey asking for her permission was so sweet

AND ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME WITH THE FLASH FORWARDS? Them with the kids is EVERYTHING! Harvey as a dad is just... EVERYTHING. All those pictures you drew in my head were truly the epitome of perfection.

"And they continue to Sway, kiss and caress in this easy cadence that is their life." … PERFECTION! THIS IS THEM. This is the kind of quotes that'll stick with me forever, that I could easily imagine getting tattooed on my arm because I want to be reminded of it again and again and again.

This chapter makes me wish so much that Nana was an actual character on the show. I absolutely LOVE that Harvey asked her for her permission for Donna's hand instead of Jim, because she like Donna is the only one who sees the real Harvey.

And Harvey proposing a few months into their relationship absolutely makes sense for them: and gosh, his proposal was simple and heartfelt, very him. And Donna's surprise was just as delightful.

The glimpses into their family life and that ending with just the two of them dancing and just enjoying each other: perfect.

Belles, this is such a beautiful chapter to end on (I'll get to the epilogue soon), but I read and re-read Nana's advice to Donna, because I loved how much they shaped the woman that Donna became, and how she tries hard to follow those words until she didn't when it mattered most.

It's been my headcanon that there was an "almost" moment between Harvey and Donna at the wedding. And of course, Zane interrupted that: you made their frustration just leap off the page (screen).

And finally, Donna's realization of who Harvey is to her and how no-one, not even "perfect" Thomas can measure up to what he makes her feel: Belles, you've got a knack for getting into this complicated woman's head and making sense of it all.

My favourite part? That you switched POVs at the end to Harvey: it balances out Donna's realization really well, even though it's only a few lines. It shows us that their realization is mutual.
