You know, I'm really hoping you have Akira stop both Yusuke and Makoto from doing the things they did in the game (If not, Haru stop Makoto). It's what made me lose interest in it, until I managed to skip those parts. Please, if you do, I'd sure be grateful.

Welcome back! Glad to see you haven't given up yet and have kept the story rolling! Writer's block can be a horrible thing for when you're still having to introduce more characters as main cast characters so make sure to take your time so nothing seems awfully forced. Good chapter regardless!

Not much to say about this chapter, solid recreation of the original scene with that added explanation of who was actually following Ann. I felt dumb in my second playthrough when I realized it wasn't Yusuke who had been following her. A lot more signs made sense in the second playthrough since I didn't have to worry about the time crunch of upping social stats and confidants. Glad to see you haven't gotten bored of the story yet!

This was a very good chapter, seeing the inner thoughts of the characters as they try to think through what to do or just extra details is really awesome. As long as you keep a natural progression from friends to dating, I think the relationship will seem more real than in the games. Side development is something the games can't do otherwise it'd be 100 hours just to get through the first playthrough of the game, that's what has really kept my attention on this story.

I also appreciate that you proofread your work obviously, some stories are dragged down by not being able to understand what the writer is trying to tell the audience. Your writing is clear, not repetitive and seems to always have a set of adjectives for the environment that match perfectly. Looking forward to the next chapter!

I'm thoroughly enjoying this, but there's one thing I feel I really need to point out. Ryuji did know his dad. And his dad's fists. His dad was an abusive alcoholic who walked out one day. He mentions this in the bathhouse with Yusuke, I believe, while discussing their tastes in partners.

It's a big enough deal for him that Ryuji actively wants a partner who he can be the opposite of his dad with. Someone who he can protect with his strength and drive. It's also a big part of why Ryuji's so loud. He's internalized the idea, as some children in these circumstances do, that most any attention is good. After all, it's all better than a beating.

Akira had a plenty clear view of Ann’s skirt and legs as she walked in front of him in the canonical scene, even if she starts off under the awning he’d still be able to make a good guess (as the average human would) that the other figure is a female. Most people wouldn’t avoid guessing gender because the pronouns for that are just awkward in most languages, when possible at all]
