I love this you perfectly capture both yang and reinhart in this story

What a nice twist. The moving of the Artemis necklace to the other corridor does make it an impenetrable fortress. The reason why is because the also have Iserlohn Fortress as well. To be honest I wasn't for Bittenfeld's bet though.

Winged Hussars. Nice fitting name for a fleet. A complete opposite of the Black Lancers.

I'm happy that you updated this story. This and an ideal to fight for are two awesome stories of Legends of the Galactic Heroes.

A few nitpicks, but an interesting scenario.

At this point, Musel has his countship, so he's Loghengramm.

Two, maybe have someone work on Yang to convince him to go into politics. Since it's the thing he seems to hate the most, maybe it takes a goading by Shenkopf or Sithole complaining about his whining to take responsibility and run.

Finally, I doubt Trunicht would back Yang. Maybe Yang as to sell even more of his soul and back Trunicht to be High Chairman, while running to be the replacement for Defense Secretary, to avoid the invasion plan, thinking maybe he can check Trunicht's worst impulses.
